POSITION SUMMARY : Ensure that all residents being served; provide exemplary service of food and beverages to older adult residents and guests in a senior dining setting .

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS :

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Communities.

1. Perform table service and excellent customer relations based on established serving standards and guidelines.

2. Perform table service in a friendly, caring, professional and timely manner.

3. Serve the resident’s meal according to meal ticket.

4. Assist resident with all dining needs while performing table service.

5. Perform light cleaning and stocking duties as assigned by the supervisor.

6. Ensure that all residents being served have a pleasant and delightful dining experience.

Education :

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Students working towards a High School Diploma are eligible for this position)

Experience :

Full understanding of food service methods in a high volume full service dining environment.

Requirements :

Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.

Ability to communicate effectively with older adults in a dining setting.

Serv Safe certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.

Westminster Baldwin Park, a new Active Living Community in Baldwin Park has an open position for :

Sous Chef-Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY :

Assists the Chef or Director of Dining in the planning, coordinating and implementation of the quality dining program for resident’s staff and guests.

Oversee the culinary component, HAACP program and Sanitation program of the dining program in all of the food production and service areas within the community.

Provides support in assigned areas during the absence of the Chef or Director of Dining Services. Expanded distinct duties may be attached to this document.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS :

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Communities.

1. Manage the kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef.

2. Supervise all activities in the kitchen(s).

3. Assist the Chef with daily food preparation and production by following standardized recipes.

4. Ensure recipe compliance, proper record keeping and food quality.

5. Assist in the preparation of soups, sauces and gravies.

6. Responsible for kitchen staff compliance with sanitation and food safety standards.

7. Monitor the proper operation of the kitchen equipment and report any equipment failures to the Chef or Director.

Education :

  • 2-Year Accredited Culinary Degree or College Degree in a related subject required;
  • Specialized certification / degree at an approved culinary school; and
  • 3 years minimum similar experience in a high volume, hospitality oriented and customer service focused environment.
  • Serv Safe certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.

Experience :

Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office.

Proficiency with data-base types of menu systems for menu forecasting, menu building and recipe creation.

Supervisory Leadership.

Requirements :

Ability to hold effective meetings.

Ability to complete a Certified Dietary Managers Qualification within specified time frame.

Ability to learn computer programs as defined by Westminster Communities of Florida.

Ability to work as a member of the dining services management team.

Westminster Winter Park is a large upscale Active Living Community and Health Center. We are a church related, not-for-profit community service organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults and persons with special needs by creating and administering excellent residential and health care facilities.

POSITION SUMMARY : Supervises work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly attractive rooms;

offices, hallways and common areas by performing the following duties. At the discretion of administration, the Housekeeping Supervisor may be required to act as the interim Director of Housekeeping in the event of their absence or vacant position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.

1. Responsible for managing the Housekeeping staff under their supervision.

2. Responsible for maintaining the linen closets and carts stocked on all floors (daily).

3. Responsible for the quality of work of the staff under their supervision.

4. Maintains Supply Usage Logs keeps track of daily usage of supplies by each staff member.

5. Supervises daily sanitation of all resident’s rooms, and after move outs or prior to move-ins. This

includes daily sanitation of equipment Ensures proper disposal of biohazards via the contracted vendor.

Education and / or experience :

A high school education or equivalent and up to one year related experience or training.

Experience and Basic Knowledge :

Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 1 year.

Physical Therapist

Job Summary

Provide patient / resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload. Participate in the clinical team process.

Provide teaching and training to care giver staff. Involvement with the clinical program development. Supervises other licensed therapists, assistants, technicians, aides and students as required.

Must be willing to work on weekends.

Essential Job Functions :

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.

Evaluate and treat physical conditions in order to restore functions and improve mobility as indicated and ordered by MD.

Design and carry out Care Plan.

  • Conduct assessment and screens to determine the need for therapy. Provide treatment modalities including electrical stimulation, hot / cold packs and therapeutic massage.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including updating information in the system.
  • Perform Resident Home Assessments as part of the discharge process
  • Perform Resident’s screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy.

Essential Qualifications :

Education : Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist.

Experience and Basic Knowledge : One year of long term care desirable. Med-surg, Home Health experience helpful. Also, working with the handicapped or developmentally disabled, or older adults preferred.
