We are hiring a Logistics Clerk to join our Otay team!

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional interested in making an impact at an excellent company? As Logistics Clerk, you will be the main contact for scheduling / dispatching domestic Less Than Truck Load (LTL) to our dealers and customers.
You will search and assess optimal cost and routing of LTL loads throughout North America and will be responsible for completing documentation and processing of orders related to the shipping process.
You will also be the point person for damaged claims / returns processing and resolution.
YOUR RIPPLE EFFECT
- Can you think analytically? After rate shopping for ideal cost and service of domestic lanes, we’ll look to you to select the best domestic carriers for outbound movement of cover loads.
- Are you customer service-oriented? You will serve as our point person for damaged claims processing and resolution. This duty will include filing damaged claims with carriers.
- Do you have excellent organizational skills? You will have several scheduling duties, including scheduling carrier appointment times and ensuring relevant schedules are updated daily.
- Can you multitask? You will manage several different tasks at once, including routing employee drivers to and from our manufacturing facilities.
WHAT YOU BRING
High School diploma or the equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience and / or training in the following areas : Microsoft Office Suite, TL, FCL & LTL shipping, Hazardous Materials, Dangerous Goods, dispatching, S.
L.I. Shippers Letters of Instruction, Commercial Invoices for Int’l shipments.
- Experience working in a Transportation Management System (TMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- High level of accuracy in data entry, including the ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel. Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as a strong ability to work in a team environment.
- Bilingual Spanish & English strongly preferred.
- Forklift Certification a plus.
- Lean Enterprise Certification a plus.
