What we do :

We provide trash and recycle services solutions to the local community. You, a vital piece of the team, would be responsible for safely operating our Container Delivery Truck to provide the carts and containers in neighborhoods.

This includes duties such :

• Operate delivery truck into neighborhoods, sites and special events in a safe manner.
• Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Perform a physically demanding job, lifting, pulling, bending and moving 50 pounds or more.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift / load refuse and containers of trash at designated facilities.
• Courteous interaction with our customers
• Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

What we work with :

We work with people’s personal refuse. This is a service provided year round Rain, snow or shine. Hot or cold. Be prepared to work in all environments, around louder pumping equipment, in not-so ideal environments or conditions.

Not to mention dirty and unpleasant ones.

Plan for the following labor :

• Extensive physical activity. Requires constant exit and entry from vehicle, scrubbing containers, operating hydraulics, lifting, pushing, pulling, all solo. Moderate noise level.
• Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.
• Awareness of surrounding hazards and changing situations (Construction sites, parking lots, areas of large crowds).
• Exposure to outside weather, including frequent hot, wet and / or rainy conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.

American Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Residential Garbage Truck Driver to join the team at our hauling company in Acworth, Georgia .

Your primary duties will be operating a rear-load garbage truck on a specific route picking up garbage and delivering to the appropriate transfer stations or landfills.

$5,000 Stay on Bonus

Shift :

A typical schedule is Monday-Friday starting around 5-5 : 30 am. You will be working about 50-55 hours per week.

We are looking for a safety conscious Driver Helper to join the team at our Manassas, VA location.

The Helper position is responsible for helping the driver of a garbage truck on specified routes to manually collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.

Typical job duties include (but are not limited to) :

• Ride on garbage truck to assist the Driver service customers - will load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal.
• Directing the truck driver when backing

• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

• SWING SHIFT - shift would start in the afternoon.
• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
• Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated.

Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions..
