VRX, Inc is a national award-winning woman owned civil engineering firm with offices in New York, Texas and Oklahoma and is seeking an Aviation Project Manager for ongoing projects in the Northeast US, Dallas, and Florida.

This position is Project Manager with aviation infrastructure (vertical / horizontal), be intimately familiar with Airport / Airline Operations, and / or related experience.

Candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, guiding design, construction, inspection, and quality assurance. Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and plan project execution by developing detailed schedules, defining milestones and deliverables, identifying resource requirements, and coordinating day-to-day activities.
  • Manage project financials by forecasting, monitoring, reporting on, and controlling project costs on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively establish risk and issue management procedures; development and oversight of mitigation plans, and resolving conflict where needed.
  • Establish ongoing project reporting, tailoring communications to intended audience(s), and delivering information consistently and in a professional manner.
  • Manage schedules and budgets
  • Provide interfaces with all stakeholders - contractors, consultants, schools & communities
  • Enforce project contract documents, codes, policies and procedures
  • Resolve issues related to design & construction
  • Work with architects and designers on records regarding change orders, shop drawings, submittals / approvals and other technical matters
  • Issue field memorandums and field directives
  • Review contract claims & advise senior management
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to VRX’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
  • Define appropriate metrics to measure project performance, comparing actual performance to planned performance on an ongoing basis, identifying root causes of situations that could negatively impact project performance.
  • Work effectively in a team environment; and other duties as assigned or needed. Additional Responsibilities Maintain project record drawings.

Ensure that all testing and analysis required by the FAA specifications is being performed. Ensure that tests are performed at the frequency stated in the FAA specifications.

Review test reports and certifications for conformance with specifications; and Maintain a file of test reports and certifications.

Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 5 to 10 years of project management experience on aviation / transportation improvement projects Preferred Licenses / Certifications PE, CCM, PMP Experience with providing constructability review comments Must be able to obtain airport SIDA clearance and qualify to drive in Airfield Operations Area, if required Must have good communication skills Powered by JazzHR
