As EA, you will serve as the primary point of contact and gatekeeper on all matters pertaining to the Office of the Chief Operating Officer.
You will also serve as liaison to our staff, senior management teams, and vendors. You have a proven ability to work autonomously and realistically balance multiple priorities.
You are diplomatic in your interactions with others and resilient in difficult situations.
You have the ability to act on anticipated needs as part of your past executive administrative assistant experience and keen observation skills.
You catch on quickly using your previous experience supporting executive leaders, medical directors (physicians / surgeons), or medical boards in a hospital or healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
Communication Skills
Communication skills are critical to succeed in this role. Your writing and speaking skills directly contribute to the image of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.
You will draft and prepare correspondence such as announcements, reports, presentations, and the like. You are an active listener who speaks clearly and concisely.
Organization Skills
You thrive in a fast-paced environment with many responsibilities. You efficiently manage time and workspace as you oversee the SVP, Cheif Operating Officer's calendar, meetings, activities, and business travel.
Technical Skills
As Executive Administrative Assistant, you must have familiarity with office equipment, from computers to photocopiers to fax machines as well as software word processing, desktop publishing, database management and spreadsheets.
With constant changes in technology, it is essential for you to be comfortable adapting to new equipment and troubleshooting minor issues and glitches.
Assessment Skills
You can make sound decisions without supervision and exercise good judgement at all times by applying logical reasoning.

Qualifications
Five or more years of progressively responsible related office or secretarial work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills / abilities.
Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities
Security Officers provide a full range of security activities designed to protect persons, property and equipment from unauthorized persons or hazards by patrolling in or around hospital and grounds.
They physically restrain individuals at risk for causing imminent injury or damage. They also provide customer service to visitors and employees, such as providing directions, escorting individuals to and from parking areas, providing jump starts to car batteries and unlocking cars.
They also control access to the hospital by verifying the identity of persons entering or exiting in accordance with department procedure and they monitor fire alarm and perimeter detection systems.
The day-to-day work is performed in accordance with well-defined procedures. The work activities require customer service skills.
Security Officers work in unarmed positions that require shift and weekend work involving significant periods of standing and walking.
Essential Duties :
- Provides physical security to the hospital; patrols assigned buildings and property on foot, being alert to violations of security regulations, suspicious activities, unauthorized persons and safety hazards that may cause injury or damage to property.
- Responds to individuals displaying unusual, suspicious or aggressive behavior firmly, but courteously.
- May subdue and restrain individuals posing potential harm to persons and property. Utilizes conflict resolution skills to deescalate the situation or person, involving management when necessary.
- Provides customer service to patients, employees and visitors.
- Completes all required documentation in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
- Interfaces with law enforcement in respect to criminal activities.
- Exhibits and adheres to CHI Franciscan Health’s Core Values of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence.
Qualifications
Education / Work Experience :
Satisfactory Abstract of Driving Record (Type : Employment Record) must be provided and meet departmental standards.
Minimum age requirement of 21 years for insurance coverage eligibility which is mandatory for driving security vehicles.
Licensure / Certification :
Valid Washington State driver’s license and a clean driving record with no action pending / taken at any time in response to unsafe driver performance or other legal requirements.
International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Certification preferred.
