GS-5 (Full Performance Level) Experience One year of experience equivalent to the GS-4 grade level that equips you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.
- At this grade level, experience consists of : interacting with internal and external customers; establishing and maintaining medical outpatient and inpatient charts as well as administrative records;

This is the full performance level for MSAs. At this level, the MSA is expected to independently perform a full range of duties related to the delivery of healthcare services in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
AND Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Ability to operate computerized programs and systems in order to enter, modify, and retrieve sensitive medical and patient identifying information into or from electron health records, scheduling systems, and / or reports.
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology specific to understand medical diagnosis and procedures sufficient to communicate clinical staff instructions to patients.
Ability to schedule medical appointments in a clinical setting. Ability to work independently in the accomplishment of a wide variety of duties performing patient support work.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in person, electronically, and / or by telephone, with internal and external customers.
6. Skill in customer service with the ability to identify customer concerns, and refer to the appropriate staff, as necessary, to ensure a satisfactory resolution.

Physical Requirements : The work is primarily sedentary. Physical demands do not exceed those of a typical office setting.

Security Officer

POLICE OFFICER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT 1. New VA Police Officers are required to attend an 8-10 week course at the VA Law Enforcement Training Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Satisfactory completion of this course is a condition of continued employment. 2. A medical examination is required. The duties of these positions require moderate to arduous physical exertion and / or duties of a hazardous nature.

Medical Records Administrator (Assistant Chief)

OR, Education : Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.

OR, Experience / Education Combination : Equivalent combinations of creditable experience and education that equals 100 percent may be used to meet basic requirements.
For example, two years above high school from an accredited college or university, with 12 semester hours in health information technology / health information management, plus one year and six months of creditable experience that included the preparation, maintenance, and management of health records and health information systems meets an equivalent combination).
Certification : Persons hired or reassigned to MRA positions in the GS-0669 series in VHA must meet one of the following : Coding Certification through AHIMA or AAPC (Coding Certification - Mastery certification obtained through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or the American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC).
To be acceptable for qualification, the specific certification must represent a comprehensive competency in the occupation.
Stand-alone specialty certifications do not meet the definition of mastery level coding certification and are not acceptable for qualifications.

Social Worker HUD-VASH
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.

S.C. 7403(f). Education. Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture. To be acceptable, the curriculum must be from a school with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Engineering Accreditation Commission (excludes engineering technology) or National Council of Architectural Registration Boards curriculum.
Examples of acceptable engineering and architectural degrees include, but are not limited to : Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Architectural Engineering.
Titles may vary from educational institutions and change over time; OR Evidence of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination with a bachelor's degree.
Evidence can be in the form of an Engineering in Training certificate issued from any State, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico, or test results from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) identifying a passing score;

Healthcare Engineer, GS-11. Experience or Education. Candidates at this level must meet one of the following : (a) One year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade;
OR (b) Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Engineering or a related field of engineering as outlined in paragraph 3.b.

Education Requirement -You must submit a transcript showing you were awarded the doctoral degree to receive credit. You must have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) at the time the program was completed.
The specialty area of the degree must be consistent with the assignment for which the applicant is to be employed. OR Have a doctoral degree in any area of psychology and, in addition, successfully completed a re-specialization program meeting both of the following conditions : a) the re-specialization program must be completed in an APA or a CPA accredited doctoral program;
and b) the specialty in which you were retrained is consistent with the assignment you are am applying for; OR Have a doctoral degree awarded between 1951 and 1978 from a regionally-accredited institution, with a dissertation primarily psychological in nature.
Internship Requirement -You must provide a copy of your transcript, program information and completion date in your resume, copy of current board certification, or a statement from the doctoral program verifying that the equivalent of a one-year supervised internship experience was completed in a site acceptable to the doctoral program, as applicable, to receive credit.
