JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Fuses (welds) metal structural components together by means of arc welding using one process in the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures.
- Performs welding operations requiring a limited amount of planning and lying out of work from blueprints or other written specifications and determining operation sequence.
- Performs some welding on objects involving moderate safety and load requirements working in one position.
- Movement of pole shafts using an overhead crane and the gathering of parts and materials to complete the project.

A Brief Summary of This Position :
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Plant Maintenance Technician position at Valmont Tampa Galvanizing .
We are looking for a highly driven individual that will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in the plant, including overhead crane and hoists, Storm Water Treatment, welding, fabrication and other types of installations.
Essential Functions :
- Work from the direction of the Production Manager to support the preventative maintenance schedule, make unforeseen repairs, troubleshoot and install new or repaired equipment.
- Performance of operations and the use of tools and equipment of several trades such as, not limited to : electrical, plumbing, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and make necessary adjustments to insure efficient operation.
- Perform a variety of electrical-trade functions in the installation, maintenance or repair of equipment for generating, distribution and / or utilization of electric energy in an establishment.
- Responsible for welding any defective tanks, plants parts or fabrication as needed.
- Responsible for moving hazardous and non-hazardous waste drums from still room to the hazardous waste storage area.
- Knowledge of the proper storage and disposal of waste.
- Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
- Communicate with the Supervisors, Production Manager, and General Manager regarding problems and estimated times for repairs.
- Learn aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance throughout the shop

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Three years of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Certified to run forklifts, man-lifts, cranes and all manufacturing equipment
- Welding and steel fabrication knowledge
- Computer experience for input and retrieval of data
- The ability to read and decipher blueprints, schematics manufacturer specification manuals, state and federal code books and references without assistance and use them to properly perform the required maintenance installations, or tasks
- The ability to calculate formulas using basic mathematics and standard U.S. and Metric Measurements

Brief Summary of This Position :
Valmont Substations, LLC., specializing in the delivery of high voltage substations and transmission line equipment nationwide, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor.
This position is responsible for overseeing a variety of warehouse activities including the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing project shipments.
The Warehouse Supervisor will typically have 1 or more direct reports.
Essential Functions :
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure safe and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing project shipments
- Provide effective training, coaching, and ongoing support as needed for direct report(s)
- Participate in regular check-ins with direct report(s) to promote engagement and assist in their development
- Verify the completion of inspections and other quality control methods to ensure accuracy of shipments
- Verify that packing lists are given to the project manager the day the shipment is received in warehouse.
- Verify that pictures showing total quantity of connectors unpacked and inspected are on server within one week of shipment receipt in warehouse.
- Verify that transportation damage is noted on packing lists / bill of ladings at receipt and before carrier leaves site.
- Arrange shipping quotes using locally available freight brokers or Valmont Logistics.
- Verify that warehouse is kept organized and clean and shipments are put away on racks for later shipment
- Keep tools / work area organized.

A Brief Summary of This Position :
The Pricing Manager will support the Irrigation business in gathering, analyzing and interpreting market data, quantitative sales data and qualitative customer feedback in order to propose pricing policy recommendations for all division product offerings for the Irrigation industry.
The position will develop & utilize pricing tools that will assist in the analysis and presentation of pricing data. They will establish and execute the division's long term strategic pricing strategies.
The Pricing Manager should take a lead role in ensuring division meets gross margin objectives through pricing tools, processes and controls.
The position will also be key in developing and presenting pricing theory and strategy education sessions throughout the division.
The Pricing Manager should be a subject matter expert in use of data visualization software. Position expected to be a SME in use of any future pricing software put in place and will help define and promote the use of such pricing software to consumers of pricing data throughout the division.
Essential Functions :
- This position reports to the Vice President of Finance, Irrigation and has no direct or indirect reports
- This role requires up to 20% travel (internationally / domestically), including overnight stays
- Gathers and interprets quantitative data and qualitative feedback to perform strategic analyses and provide recommendations for optimizing pricing guidance to Customer Service and Sales personnel for gross margin maximization
- Partners with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing in developing profitability measurements by customer, customer segment and product line to optimize prioritization of division resources and takes a lead role in gathering, measuring, and reporting this data
- Assesses market opportunities and revenue / margin potential for all product lines in various market segments
- Continually review and analyze the division's product pricing compared to published or disclosed prices of competitors in the marketplace

- Monthly analysis and reporting of global Irrigation gross margins; providing updates on relevant analysis and trends in profitability by customer, channel, product line, sales representative, manufacturing site, market segment, competitor, etc.

A Brief Summary of This Position :
The Operations Manager is a Manager level role within Valmont's Coatings Division. The incumbent must be a highly driven individual who is a confident, hands-on, and independent self-starter with a strong OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manufacturing or industrial coatings background to join the organization and acquire the skills and experience necessary to lead a galvanizing company.
This position manages a two or three shift operation including oversight of safety, production, quality, shipping and receiving, scheduling, maintenance, chemical reclamation, lean implementation and initiatives, and compliance reporting.
This high potential position demonstrates the ability and self-discipline to carefully and accurately run multiple departments.
Essential Functions :
Manage the use of plant resources to ensure that all plant operations are meeting or exceeding safety, quality, and production goals set by the General Manager
Oversee the production and shipping operations of a galvanizing facility
Receive intense training in industrial troubleshooting, accounting, financial forecasting, human resources, and galvanizing sales and services
Assist in identifying operations' best practices, performing lean audits and kaizen events, and travel occasionally to assist / learn from high level project management experiences
Facilitate positive customer relations through the services of quality coated product and on-time delivery
Utilize production and other analytical reports to better gauge plant performance and to make better decisions
Review and control operation expenses for raw materials, operating supplies, and equipment
Maintain manpower requirements through proper staffing, training, and development of production employees, supervisors, and other technical personnel
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements as specified by corporate policy and government regulation
Assist in managing hazardous waste disposal requirements
Knowledge and training on California DOT requirements

Working Environment and Physical Efforts :
Some of the working conditions for this position is in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to dirt, grease, fumes, cold, heat, noise, dust.

10-15% travel is required for this position. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests.
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment.
