Qualification / Responsibilities :

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct security programs and activities. (Includes policies and procedures, job descriptions, etc.)
  • Assist the Risk Manager in developing and maintaining security objectives and standards.
  • Review security policies, procedures, manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually, and participate in making recommended changes.
  • Accumulate, maintain and provide statistics as directed.
  • Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the administrator as required.
  • Maintain records that reflect the facility’s security projections and programs.
  • Make written and oral reports / recommendations to the administrator concerning security procedures.
  • Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the security department.
  • Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
  • Represent the facility at and participate in meetings as required.
  • Develop methods for coordinating security services with other departments.
  • Report all accidents and / or incidents involving residents and staff personnel to the director of nursing services and / or risk manager.
  • Assist the Quality Assessment and Assurance Coordinator in developing and implementing plans of action to identify and correct problem areas.
  • Review complaints and / or grievances filed against security services and make reports to the administrator as directed.
  • Participate in planning the security budget as directed.
  • Participate and assist in departmental studies and projects as assigned or that may become necessary.
  • Others as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed by the administrator.
  • Work with the HIPAA Compliance Officer in establishing protocols to prevent the unauthorized release or disclosure of protected resident and facility information.

Shift and Wage :

  • Part-Time Opportunity Available
  • Shift : Weekend Position
  • New wages- $15 / hr
