Job Skills / Requirements
United Protective Services is currently hiring for our Floater / Flex Program, which is the starting point for Field Training Officers.
Floater on call manditory days are Thursday - Sunday.
These officers are required to learn and work all sites within United Protective Services of Austin. After succesfully learning, and showing the desire and ability to perform all duties of the accounts, These officers have the ability to become a Field Training Officer, assisting with implimination of rules and regulations at all sites, and training new officers to be succesfully security officers in the field.
Security officers are uniformed and act to protect property by maintaining a high visibility presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions, observing (either directly, through patrols, or by watching alarm systems or video cameras) for signs of crime, fire or disorder;
then taking action and reporting any incidents to their client and emergency services as appropriate.

Job Skills / Requirements
The Receptionist handles front office reception and administration including visitor registration, answering phones and routing calls, handling company inquiries, administrative support and general office duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
Answer incoming telephone calls on multiple lines and route / transfer calls as appropriate
- Maintain safe and clean reception area, conference room and training rooms
- Respond to email and telephone requests in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with the hiring process and Interviews.
- Assist during meetings as needed.
- Prepared hiring packets and help with the orientation process.
- Take pictures of new hire personnel, prepare documents and make company badges for new employees.
- Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and uniforms.
- Prepare documents for training and orientation
- Assist with the orientation and training classes
- Preparing for visitors and corporate meetings
- Provide general office assistance and other duties as may be directed
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills - Nice, Kind, Polite, Courteous, and Respectful
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and in email
- Ability to receive, understand and carry out detailed instructions
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities with varying timeframes and deadlines
