Position Summary

The Medical Assistant supports the flow of patient care by providing excellent patient relations. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for greeting patients and checking out patients.

What you will be doing

  • Provide general patient care services, including taking patient's vital information, specimen collections, intake registration forms, and conversing with patients to complete records
  • Scheduling appointments and follow-ups
  • Answering / fielding patient phone calls in a courteous and professional manner and oversee and ensure efficient turnover of patient rooms
  • Receive payments from patients for services rendered
  • Checking patients in and out

What you will bring to the team

  • 2 years' experience in the medical field required, and gastroenterology experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPPA
  • EMR system experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Front Office Assistant, you will be part of a team that strives to uphold Unio Health Partners' mission of providing the highest level of care.

You will be responsible for greeting patients, checking in patients, scheduling, and verifying insurance / payment. The Front Office Assistant supports the flow of patient care by providing excellent patient relations.

What you will be doing

  • Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
  • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments and follow-ups in person or by telephone and checking patients in and out
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule;

reminding provider of service delays

  • Ensure availability of treatment information by filling and retrieving patient records
  • Answering / fielding patient phone calls in a courteous and professional manner

What you will bring to the team

  • 2 years of experience in the medical field is required, urological experience preferred
  • EMR system experience
  • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Bilingual-Spanish preferred

POSITION SUMMARY

The Medical Scribe performs all clerical and information technology functions for a physician in a specialty clinic setting, including primary responsibility for the operation of electronic health records and electronic dictation systems.

Primary goal is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician.

What you will be doing

  • Accompany physician into the patient examination room to transcribe a history and physical exam and document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present.
  • Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
  • Transcribes patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
  • Documents any procedures performed by the physician.
  • Provides feedback about any data entry errors and reviewing records using accurate spelling, correct grammar, and completeness before they are sent to the Doctor for review and signing.
  • Responsible for keeping the physician moving in the office during clinic hours.

What you will bring to the team

  • 6 months experience as a Medical Scribe or 6 months related and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Medical terminology
  • Recognition of the physical exam process and ability to record exam details
  • Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications
