What you will be doing
Manages Environmental Abatement Systems
- Oversees and directs systems and procedures related to Environmental discharge, abatement, and disposal streams.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental and health agencies.
- Leads environmental improvement efforts for site, including increased environmental awareness and chemical hazard elimination and / or mitigation.
- Evaluates Environmental programs for compliance and effectiveness, leads in processes and improvement actions.
- Ensures successful certification, administration, and continuous improvement of management systems for ISO
Manages Waste Stream Disposal
- Lead the team that processes waste disposal. Analyse systems to reduce emissions, optimize disposal methods and reduce costs while maintaining best practice in disposal methods.
- Ensures proper waste disposal, including hazardous and non-hazardous wastewater.
- Compile and report weekly / monthly data for environmental through business unit and corporate reporting systems.
Who we are looking for
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field with a strong focus on Waste Creatin and Management.
Master's Degree and PE license preferred.
- Minimum 7 years professional experience in quality or environmental management system function within an industrial setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and ISO systems along with Six Sigma and / or Lean Manufacturing experience
