Co-op Partners Warehouse (CPW) is a cooperatively owned, produce and natural foods wholesale distributor servicing co-ops, retailers, restaurants, educational institutions, and buying clubs in the Upper Midwest.

An important part of our business is partnering with farmers who practice sustainable, organic agriculture, both locally and nationally.

We support the growers and producers in our local food community and commit to them as a critical part of our supply chain.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Sales Associate to join our team in St. Paul, MN. Must be available weekdays and some weekends.

Purpose : The Sales Associate 1 is responsible for accurate order fulfillment, assisting with quality and inventory control.

Reports To : Sr. Manager of Sales

Essential Functions :

  • Account management for select customers.
  • Guide and process customer orders and inquiries.
  • Communicate with customers via phone and or email.
  • Solve customers problems and find best possible solutions.
  • Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about products, pricing, and availability.
  • Respond to shipping inquiries and answer order status questions.
  • Run inventory and sales reports by customer.
  • Process Credit Memos.
  • Promotes good working relationships by maintaining a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Attend work regularly and on time as scheduled.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

  • Must be 18 years or older. Previous customer service, inside sales and outside sales experience in retail or produce industry preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with order / data entry, preferred.
  • Ability to sit / stand for extended periods of time. Occasional work in cold, wet condition.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers and coworkers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with TCCP to create an inclusive environment where all are welcomed.

Location : 2105 Lyndale Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN

Full-time, PM, 4 shifts / week

PURPOSE : To maintain a level of organization and cleanliness that exceeds health code standards; to wash and organize all wares that are brought to the scullery;

to assist in maintenance of kitchen, sit-down area and other areas as assigned by Prepared Foods Management.

REPORTS TO : Prepared Foods Managers

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Wash and put away small and large wares used by Prepared Foods and Meat and Seafood.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned by the Prepared Foods Manager and Prepared Foods Asst. Managers.
  • Frequently attend to front of store sit-down area busing and cleaning tables and floors.
  • Do minor food preparation work, packaging, receiving and stocking as assigned by the supervisors or as needed.
  • Work in a safe manner, following safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

  • Cooperate in an encouraging, empathetic, respectful and appreciative work environment.
  • Consistently maintain positive attitude toward customers, coworkers and management.
  • Be a good communicator and problem solver.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Repeated bending and lifting (up to 60 lbs.)
  • Exposure to temperature extremes (both hot and cold)
  • Exposure to cleaning solutions
  • Climbing ladders
  • Work with knives and other sharp objects
  • Standing and walking for an 8 hour shift
  • Ability to perform continuous fine work with hands

QUALIFICATIONS :

Familiarity with food safety or sanitation procedures
