Adjunct instructors are hired within their respective fields for one or more semesters based on the needs of their respective academic school.

Salary based on course contract. FAA Certified Instrument Ground Instructor ( IGI )

Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college. Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree with related work experience as an FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) .

Manage the College’s Network Security Infrastructure, including Firewalls and related systems, switches and other key networked items, such as the secure print environment.

Proactively develop, monitor, and maintain the operational health and uptime of the College's Firewall infrastructure to ensure maximum operational performance.

Make changes to College's Firewall based on departmental-level requests

Act as subject matter expert for Information Security topics and initiatives and work with external auditors and consulting firms in the ongoing effort to improve TCC’s information security posture.

Provide assistance to peers in Network Operations and telecommunications on wired and wireless network equipment (Access Points, switches etc.

in response to the College's needs Diagnose, repair or replace defective parts on all related network equipment.

Provide various levels of direct assistance to departments and / or individual users of the network to ensure the highest levels of customer service across TCC.

Work with a variety of vendors and technical support personnel to evaluate products, network strategies, problem resolutions and emerging technologies.

Work with other campus departments as needed during investigations of improper use of Technetwork or other computer assets.

Investigate End-User system abuse cases.

Provide a high level of customer service by understanding user hardware and software needs, recognizing problems, developing recommendations and overseeing corrections.

Associate’s degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or networking-related studies.

Five years experience in network, server, and / or data center operations.

Advanced knowledge of current generation network infrastructure including routers, switches, system and network firewalls, enterprise wireless equipment, and cabling systems (fiber and copper.)

Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Ability to perform duties on one’s own initiative with limited supervision.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or networking related studies.

Degree requirement may be substituted with equivalent work experience.

Familiarity with PCI Security Standards & HIPPA.

Ability to occasionally lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

Security + Certification. Certified Cloud Security Professional, Aruba Introspect, or PCI Certified Assessor.
