Technician - Aviation
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Aviation Technician is to ensure that timely and appropriate maintenance is provided for the assigned aircraft, to ensure safe operations and compliance with all FAA and aviation industry requirements.
This includes all manufacturer-mandated repairs, as well as calendar and hourly maintenance needs. Ability to keep aircraft and work areas at the highest standards possible.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Sands Aviation, LLC policies, practices, and procedures.
All Sands Aviation, LLC Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Well versed in all facets of maintenance, from dealing with vendors and manufacturers, to documentation and installation of parts.
Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short-term and long-term profitability objectives.
- Ensure compliances with all FAA, manufacturer, and aviation maintenance requirements.
- Launch and recover assigned aircrafts.
- Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core services standards and brand attributes.
- Perform pre- and post-flight inspections and clear any discrepancies found during the course of an inspection.
- Perform maintenance and inspections in accordance with manufacturers approved methods and current FARS rules.
- Keep abreast of and maintain a current working knowledge of the procedures, parts and tools needed to perform maintenance and repair work on the company aircraft.
- Be responsible for the strict adherence to the inspection system employed for assigned aircraft.
- Supervise refueling and checking of fuel and lubricants.
- Must have personal tools used in the performance of duties listed above.
- Adhere to the company’s philosophy; comply with company policies and legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be in possession of a valid A&P Mechanic license or qualified to take the required exams.
- Able to obtain a valid passport.
- Able to obtain a security badge at Harry Reid International Airport.
- Boeing / Airbus heavy line maintenance preferred, but not required.GIV, GV / G550, 737, 747, 767, A320, A340 experience a plus.
- Ability to perform maintenance duties away from base with limited resources.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods including international destinations, without restrictions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to :
- Lift or carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods of time.
- Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
Senior Accountant – Aviation Finance
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Senior Accountant Aviation Finance is to assist in the monthly financial close process, financial analyses (including budgeting and forecasting spend), department reporting packages and assist with special projects.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Sands Aviation, LLC policies, practices, and procedures.
All Sands Aviation, LLC Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct ad-hoc analyses including, but not exclusive to, aircraft performance, financial modeling and statistical analyses.
Provide accurate, timely and usable reports to department senior managers.
Assist with all functions of Aviation Finance when needed (including, but not limited to the following : budgeting process, spend analysis, monthly close process, invoice processing, etc.).
Coordinate with miscellaneous departments, within Aviation and other corporate functions, to achieve cohesive goals.
Assist in the execution of reports and query data from various systems as requested for the department.
Provide timely, analytical support for requests at the direction of the Aviation Finance Senior Manager.
Assist with the monthly closing process.
Advise management of problem areas and requests assistance as necessary.
Identify potential problems, recommend sound solutions and support implementation.
Support departmental and company decisions, even if unpopular.
Provide input into and executes strategic plan for Aviation Finance, consistent with the strategic vision of LVSC.

Minimum Qualifications
At least 21 years of age.
Proof of authorization to work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA preferred.
2-6 years finance / accounting experience; with minimum of 2 years’ experience in large public accounting firm
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain list required licenses, such as a valid Nevada Driver's License, Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card, etc.
and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
