Role overview : Our client is the leading composite door and PVCu panel manufacturer supplying trade customers nationwide.
They are now recruiting for a Despatch Administrator / Planner to join their expanding team.
Reports to : Transport Manager
Scope of the role : To provide accurate and timely administrative support to a busy Despatch department, liaising with both internal and external customers on a daily basis.
Key duties of the role :
- Supporting Transport Manager
- Assisting with route planning
- Liaising with internal and external customers in a professional manner on matters such as customer collections, shortages and delivery times
- Supporting the customer care department with shipment of courier items
- Arranging couriers
- Ensuring all PODs are collated
- Updating management information and producing reports such as weekly customer delivery schedule & information required for the morning meeting
- Liaison with finance on invoicing queries
- Providing general administrative support as required e,g stationery, filing
- Providing Invoicing information to Finance dept as and when required
- To cross train on colleagues roles to provide holiday cover
Key Skills and Experience required :
- Previous administrative experience, ideally in a warehouse or logistics environment
- IT literate, particularly in Excel
- Excellent communication skills with a professional approach at all times
- Demonstrates an organised and methodical approach
- Accurate with attention to detail
- Team player with a flexible approach
