Job Title : Assistant Warehouse Manager

Job Summary : Perform, monitor, and assign work duties to warehouse, packaging, and delivery personnel, prioritized and established by the Area Manager, to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.

Essential Job Functions *

1. Communicates with Area Manager to determine priorities, observes work-in-progress, and advises Area Manager of issues.

2. Serves as a resource to team members answers questions and resolves operating problems.

3. Demonstrates role model work habits and fosters teamwork within the department.

4. Enhances team morale discusses issues and suggestions with Area Manager and follows up with team members.

5. Conducts on-the-job training and provides constructive feedback to employees.

6. Continually seeks opportunities to improve department operations.

7. Encourages team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

8. Achieves and maintains certifications required to operate equipment necessary within assigned department. Performs safety checks prior to use.

Reports machine problems to Area Manager. Charges industrial truck batteries as

needed.

9. Is willing to be cross trained as a lead in other departments.

Education & Experience : High School diploma or GED equivalent is required, two years of related experience is highly preferred,

Warehouse Pick and Pack Summary :

Picks and Packs customer orders in the warehouse; maintains established productivity and accuracy standards.

Starting Pay : $15 an hour / May be higher based on experience

Schedule Shift : 10 AM - PM (MON - FRI)

Warehouse Essential Functions :

• Pulls the correct product from the stock area and packs it into the appropriate boxes.
• Lift boxes that may weight up to 50 lbs.
• Meets required daily productivity standards for lines picked.
• Ensures that work meets quality standards.
• Stock shelves with product as needed and notifies supervisor of product replenishment needs.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to supervisor.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

Education :

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications :

• Warehouse related experience preferred.
• Forklift, Order Picker experience and certification a plus
• Basic computer skills required. Able to learn and use in-house software applications.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work from verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work accurately with numbers.
• Knowledge of fasteners a plus
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending for extended periods of time
