South Platte Renew (SPR) is the 3rd largest water resource recovery facility (WRRF) in Colorado and cleans nearly 20 million gallons of wastewater a day.

SPR is publicly owned by the Cities of Littleton and Englewood and serves approximately 300,000 residents in Littleton, Englewood and 19 other connecting communities.

The Operations and Maintenance Division of SPR is recruiting a Logistics Lead to manage inventory and warehousing, and support the Asset Management program at SPR.

The Position

South Platte Renew is looking for a Logistics Lead who is detail oriented, collaborative and able to serve many different internal customers.

This position will coordinate inventory and parts ordering for Operations, Beneficial Use, Process Maintenance and Facilities Maintenance and also serve as a liaison between O&M and Engineering (Asset Management).

The position will participate as a member of the asset management program at SPR, as well as participate in projections and tracking of the O&M budget.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to keep track of and inventory over 2,400 parts and materials.

The position will also draft Requests for Proposals for certain services and capital project needs and participate in preparation of Supervisory Committee communications for recommended contract awards.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, exhibit high standards, have excellent communication skills, and effectively prioritize tasks support the Operations and Maintenance and Engineering divisions.

The individual will have experience in purchasing, procurement and inventory management.

You will have the opportunity to :

  • Develop best practices and metrics for inventory control
  • Work with several different groups on a regular basis, supporting the needs of Operations, Maintenance and Engineering.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation SPR’s asset management program.
  • Interact with and manage established analytical software to help make data-driven decisions, including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Information Management Systems.

Coordinate with other City departments and government agencies for improvements to serve the community.

Qualifications / Benefits

Education : Associates degree in one of several applicable majors, including business administration and supply chain management where topics ranging from logistics to productivity are covered.

Bachelor’s of Science degree is preferred.

Work Experience / Certifications :

  • One year of experience in inventory / warehouse management
  • One year of experience working with a computerized maintenance management system
  • Experience with water, wastewater or similar industrial setting is preferred
  • Individuals Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Institute of Asset Management (IAM) are preferred

POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics Lead position is responsible for developing and maintaining the approach to inventory and warehouse management.

Related duties include performing and coordinating procurement, receiving, inspecting, classifying, storing, issuing and inventorying materials received by the O&M and Asset Management Groups.

The Logistics Lead participates in the development of long-range and short-term asset programming initiatives for the Asset Management Program (AMP), and serves as a liaison with other departmental divisions, vendors and other stakeholders.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to : Maintenance Superintendent and general direction of Deputy Director of O&M.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

General

Asset Management

  • Supports and leads a variety of administrative activities / projects, participates in the development of long-range and short-term asset programming initiatives for the Asset Management Program (AMP), and serves as a liaison with other departmental divisions, community groups, and other units.
  • Utilizes and supports the enterprise asset management (EAM) system processes.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains an inventory tracking system in the EAM system for optimized inventory control procedures.
  • Documents daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory within EAM and required platforms.

Warehouse and Inventory Management

  • Examines the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages.
  • Creates detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels.
  • Evaluates new inventory, ensuring it’s ready for routine SPR use.
  • Properly orders new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies.
  • Analyzes various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals.
  • Maintains warehouse by performing and coordinating a variety of duties related to receiving, inspecting, handling, classifying, storing, issuing and inventorying materials.
  • Responsible for keeping records of materials and equipment for which the Logistics Lead has the primary responsibility for handling and / or storing.
  • Verifies quantity, and visually inspects for quality and conformance to specifications. Verifies shipping documents for accuracy.
  • Organizes materials and equipment in designated areas ensuring optimal utilization of space according to predetermined sequence.

Marks materials and / or equipment with identifying information and rotates product as appropriate.

  • Performs and reconciles inventory and cycles counts of materials, tools and equipment.
  • Helps to keep division staff on task for annual budgeted purchases through regular purchasing meetings, development of purchase justification memorandums, and tracking budget.
  • Maintains and promotes satisfactory and harmonious relationships with the public and SPR employees.
  • Exhibits a high degree of professionalism, initiative, and customer service on an ongoing basis.
  • Safely operates a fork truck for loading and unloading of materials.

PREPARATION AND TRAINING

Work Experience :

  • One (1) year of experience in inventory / warehouse management.
  • One (1) year experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or other computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Experience with water and wastewater treatment facility preferred.

Certifications and / or Licensures :

  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation (preferred)

Required Driver’s License : Valid Colorado driver’s license and a clear or acceptable MVR.

An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant job experience may be substituted.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in both an office and field setting and requires extensive sitting, walking, carrying, lifting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and squatting.

However, will include work in an industrial wastewater treatment facility where noise, irritants, dust, dirt, bacteria, hazardous chemicals / air / materials and fumes are present.

  • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and over all types of terrain. May be exposed to risks typically associated with working around water, chemicals, electricity and other man-made and natural hazards.
  • Full range of body movements including stooping, twisting, kneeling, bending, leaning, reaching, climbing (heights), stretching and working in awkward positions.

May stand for extended periods of time. Occasional light lifting (up to 50 lbs.).

Vision is needed for reading, computer input, recording, and interpreting information such as blueprints and plans; speech and hearing are used to communicate with other employees over the telephone, radio and in person.

Work on computers and associated equipment for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours daily).

HOURLY RATE

$24.24 - $36.35 / hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking a dynamic and confident individual to join our Fitness team. The ideal candidate is personable and a self-starter.

Must be able to adapt programs to fit individual needs. Designs fitness programs for individuals based on their current physical ability level and mental / emotional state.

Demonstrates safe and effective exercises for both general and special populations. Must be able to teach proper use and body mechanics of weight machines, cardiovascular machines, free weights and Hoist Motion Cage at Englewood Recreation Center and Malley Recreation Center, and other contracted locations.

Will administer fitness assessments to evaluate overall physical needs. Possesses ability to lead client through high-level cardiovascular activity as well as resistance and flexibility exercises for all major muscle groups.

Must be able to recognize contraindicated exercises and adapt intensity and exercises to meet client’s needs. Works in an upbeat and positive environment using innovative ideas to assist clients in achieving their personal fitness goals.

  • Maintain CEC’s and attend workshops / trainings to stay up to date with industry trends.
  • Attends all staff meetings and trainings. When requested, attends special events to promote the fitness department.
  • Must be responsible and punctual.
  • Must be available to work evenings.

PREPARATION AND TRAINING

Requires current NASM, ACE, AFAA, ACSM, or NSCA Personal Trainer certification. Must have and maintain current CPR / AED certification.

Fitness related degree or NPTI certificate preferred. Demonstrate proficiency with TRX Suspension Trainer.

HOURLY RATE
