Position Summary

This is a hybrid position located in Orlando, FL.

Thales is looking for a Finance Analyst that will support the Head of Finance of Thales Components Corporation in all finance-related areas, including cost control, financial analysis, reporting, bids and projects, and compliance.

He / she also supports multi-year budgeting preparation and monthly closing and forecasting activities. He / she performs ad hoc activities assigned from the management.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Controlling responsibility : supports Head of Finance in managing TCC financials and prepare quality period end financial closing and reports on a monthly basis.

Monitors inventory and coordinates with our European affiliates to avoid intragroup disconnects.

FP&A responsibility : performs OI / OIGM & sales / margin analysis using PVM model, variances analysis of budget vs actuals.

Prepare for recurring financial forecast.

  • Reporting responsibility : publishes in Thales reporting tool of monthly management financial reports and in budget time, multi-year budget.
  • Bids and Projects finance responsibilities : support bid activities by validating financials in the pricing / cash sheet.

Ensure projects are monitored and revenues properly recognized in accordance to the IFRS rules.

  • Compliance responsibility : leads annual internal financial compliance campaign
  • Coordinates with A / R and A / P and accounting team to monitor cash flow and promotes a cash culture and ensure all balance sheet account reconciliations be done on a timely basis.
  • Supports ad hoc requests from management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, majored in finance / accounting / business.
  • Excellent MS Excel, PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and / or finance (or equivalent area) is required
  • 3-5 years of finance experience
  • SAP and / or PowerBI, Tableau experience is a plus
  • IFRS knowledge and experience highly desirable

Schedule : normal Orlando office business hours

Physical Environment :

Travel : 10% travel expected

Travel : Regular domestic and moderate intercontinental travel may be required to complete on-site presentations and demonstration.

Position Summary

This is a remote position within USA.

Thales is seeking a Director of Airline Sales . The position’s objective is to identify customer needs and provide a viable solution that supports the customer business outcomes.

The person will effectively and accurately communicate Thales IFEC system solutions, commercial and product attributes in an effort to generate sales.

The position will serve to develop sales opportunities in an effort to give Thales IFEC better visibility and recognition within the relevant sales region and within the specific account.

The position will coordinate Thales internal departmental activities with the objective of developing commercial and system solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations.

The position will facilitate the issuance of technical and commercial proposals and associated quotes to the customer. The position will be required to provide various sales reports including forecasts and account status within the appropriate CRM tool.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Conduct a strategic and consultative sales campaign with the objective of providing Thales system solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Coordinate the development of system proposals based on the data gathered from the consultative sales approach.

Manage the bids process.

In cooperation with Account Mangers, develops and executes go to market activities for key airline accounts.

Establishes and keeps updated the Sales Action list for responsible accounts and territory in order to assess the current and future opportunities within Salesforce.

Establishes, manages, and contributes to the realizations of booking objectives.

Identify key customer accounts within a designated territory developing a strategic and tactical sales lobbying plan to bring proactive product awareness and systems solutions to target customers.

Innovate and develop new commercial opportunities with the ability to negotiate complex sales agreements.

Coordinate the appropriate internal resources to address customer needs and develop winning technical solutions based on customer requirements.

Forecast potential and future sales within the region of responsibility.

Discusses the product features, benefits and competitive advantages of Thales’ IFEC product line to prospective customers.

Schedule appointments with potential customers, travel to work sites and entertain customers.

Quantify and qualify customer feedback so as to contribute to the IFEC’s product planning and development.

Is involved in the planning process for future products and services to address the needs of the marketplace.

Understand competitive offerings and positions in the market place.

Maintain knowledge of developments in the industry so as to stay up to speed on the latest industry trends and directions.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Creates and produces reports to the appropriate leadership utilizing CRM tool.

Accurately and timely, maintains opportunity reporting within CRM tool.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.

Four to five years’ previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience.

Proficient with CRM (Salesforce) software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication skills.

Evidence of strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client contracts.

Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals.

Finance Compliance Manager

This position will be responsible for developing and overseeing control systems to prevent violations of legal, compliance, and FAR / DFAR requirements.

This position will also be the lead in working with outside auditors specifically DCMA and DCAA for yearly and monthly submissions as well as the Government bid compliance.

Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Subject matter expert on FAR / CAS compliance for company
  • Calculates forward bid rates (direct and indirect) used in proposals; revises as required by changes in the business; supports the rates in pre-award and post award audits
  • Advisor on bids / proposals and complex finance decisions
  • Manages internal controls, policies and procedures; responds to corporate parent inquiries as needed
  • Leads or supports all DCMA / DCAA audit activity alongside Finance team
  • Performs in-depth analysis as required
  • Reports directly to CFO and works with other members of the Finance / Accounting team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
  • 8+ years related experience; ideally with a mix of government contracting, public accounting and industry (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills required
  • The ideal candidate will be highly experienced with government audit (DCAA / DCMA) and FAR / CAS
  • Self-starter, able to work independently or as part of a team; good presentation skills
  • Comfortable with MS Office and various ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA a plus
  • Auditing experience in a government contract environment is highly desired
  • Master’s degree
