JOB SUMMARY :

Provide on-site flight support for owners under the ProOwnership management agreement. Crews will reside within a reasonable distance from the managed aircraft and perform day-to-day flight activities, including scheduling, trip planning, and aircraft care.

Crews will work directly with the Manager, ProOwnership Maintenance to ensure maintenance compliance and airworthiness. They will also work closely with the Manager, ProOwnership Operations to ensure customer requests are fulfilled to meet the highest level of customer satisfaction with the ownership experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Enhances ownership experience by providing product expertise on Citation and King Air systems, avionics and flying characteristics.

Consistently communicates product and ownership benefits during flight activities.

Acts as a company liaison between the owner and Textron Aviation to ensure that the concerns of all parties are fairly represented.

Although crew is employed by Textron Aviation, the pilot will operate under an agency agreement that clearly defines operational control of the Owner.

The designated lead pilot will serve as the primary point of contact for all issues relating to the remotely based flight operation.

  • Clearly and effectively communicates with the owner regarding Pilot-In-Command responsibilities, standards of safe operations, and efficient methods of aircraft utilization.
  • Possesses a solution-driven mindset and willingness to explore all avenues on the path to resolution.
  • Performs preflight and post flight inspections to evaluate aircraft flown for mechanical and cosmetic discrepancies and accurately communicates with the Maintenance Manager and the applicable Service Center to maintain the highest possible standards of quality and safety.
  • Works with the maintenance manager to ensure that aircraft flown are scheduled for required inspections. Ensures that the aircraft are certified to MNPS / RVSM / RNP Standards to meet all travel requirements, both domestic and international.
  • Works with the account manager to understand and provide input to the aircraft flight schedule while continuously monitoring flight activities to ensure flights are conducted within the guidelines set forth in the operations manual such as crew duty limits and rest requirements, runway lengths and weather minimums.

Will warrant that safety of operations is paramount with each flight.

  • Maintains familiarity with all applicable FAA and ICAO regulations. Complies with all regulations and local operating procedures.
  • Ensures training and flight currency for all phases of operations. Informs the Chief Pilot or Manager, Aircraft Management when any currency is approaching expiration.
  • Attends training as required. Training will include : Initial and recurrent aircraft training, emergency procedures training, crew coordination training, international procedures training and other training as deemed necessary by management.
  • Performs vital day-to-day department management duties such as maintaining aircraft flight logs, updating aircraft navigation equipment, obtaining current electronic and hard-copy documents required for flight, and performing store room duties and light aircraft cleaning.
  • Responsible for coordinating vacation requests with the account manager assigned to the owner.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Management or Aerospace related fields.
  • In lieu of degree, must meet the qualifications below and a minimum of 3 years industry experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Ability to obtain a valid US passport
  • Ability to obtain a FAA First Class medical
  • Airline Transport Pilot certification and demonstrated piloting skills higher than the minimums stated from the appropriate Practical Test Standards.
  • FAA Flight Instructor Certification preferred.
  • 3,000 Total Logged Flying Hours
  • 1000 Hours in Turbo Prop, Turbo Fan or Turbo Jet Aircraft
  • International operating experience preferred
  • Experience in Citation or King Air products preferred
  • Ability to consistently comply with customer insurance requirements

Bell Textron is seeking an Aviation Technician to be part of the On-Site Quick Response Team (OSQRT) to support maintenance operations at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar San Diego, California.

This position involves heavy maintenance on the MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft. Work is primarily focused on major installations and repairs.

Additionally, there is a heavy focus on damage inspection / evaluation, repair materials / parts logistics, and functional

testing.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Perform maintenance tasks to assist organizational-level maintenance with a specific focus on returning Long Term Down
  • Aircraft to flight ready status.
  • Provide Depot maintenance services at the aircraft operating sites when the aircrafts are not required for flight operations to reduce the time aircraft are required to be down for maintenance.
  • Complete maintenance tasks within On-Condition Maintenance (OCM) guidelines as well as other identified Depot field teamwork specifications.
  • Provide support for larger maintenance tasks, in which organizational-level maintenance participates.
  • Perform heavy maintenance tasks on aircraft structures and systems.
  • Evaluate damage and perform composite repairs, electrical and mechanical repairs and installations.
  • Ensure work performed meets Bell’s expectations for the highest levels of safety and quality.
  • Maintain a positive rapport with the military / government customer.
  • Work alongside Marine maintainers when required.
  • Follow tasking of NAVAIR Fleet Support Team and MALS-16 Aviation Maintenance Officer (AMO).

Qualifications

Position Requirements :

  • Two years of technical college / trade school or extensive military or industry training is preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience working on military and / or commercial aircraft, performing heavy maintenance, is required.
  • Rotary Wing maintenance experience on medium / heavy helicopters is preferred. Experience in military occupation specialty (MOS) 6326 Aircraft Communications / Navigation / Electrical / Systems Technician is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Temporary Engineering Instructions (TEI).
  • Must have the ability to evaluate damage and perform applicable repair.
  • 6326 Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) experience, preferred.
  • FAA A&P certification is preferred.
  • Other relevant extensive aircraft maintenance experience may be considered in lieu of MV-22 experience, but competence in Avionics repairs must be obtained with in first year of employment.
  • Must be able to perform operations / functional checks and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.
  • Experience with Naval Aviation Maintenance Policies and, documentation procedures is required.
  • Active US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance is preferred.
  • Candidate must possess the ability and attitude to work in a team environment and must possess good communications and information technology skills.
  • This position will require travel to other sites in support of maintenance operations.

Welding of aluminum materials in all positions. Must be able to work from standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions.

Some work must be accomplished with the use of mirror welding.

  • Climbing on and over bulkheads, up and down ladders.
  • Tack welding (kneeling, standing, sitting, lying, overhead burning of steel, dragging torch line)
  • Use of jacks, porta-powers and come-a longs; some of which can weigh as much as 25 lbs.
  • Lifting of material and tools (jacks, porta-powers, come-a longs, etc. Also loading and unloading of parts.
  • Crawling through craft on top of tees and through manholes
  • Bending and twisting of your body as needed to get into different compartments.
  • Operation of cranes, forklifts
  • Use of power tools (gougers, skill saws, cut saws, grinders). All require two hands on tools to operate in safe manner
  • Walking on tops of frames and tees (uneven walking surfaces)
  • Need to be able to work with your hands.
