The Registered Therapist V (Occupational Therapist) performs highly advanced (senior-level) therapeutic rehabilitation work.
- Responsibilities include planning and overseeing therapeutic activities, assessing the needs of patients, and developing, and administering programs to meet patient's needs;
- assessing and documenting progress of the individual patient and / or patient groups; providing clinical occupational therapy services;
training others related to OT services, plans of care for patients, and specific tasks needed to support treatment. Plans, assigns, and clinically supervises the work of others as required, to include Registered Therapist Assistants (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants / COTAs).
Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and / or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and / or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.

The Social Worker IV (Social Work Supervisor) performs advanced (senior-level) social work. Work involves providing advanced clinical services to persons served at the hospital;
administrative work including supervision of Social Workers; and acts as a participant on the Social Work Management Team.

The Receptionist reports to the Director of Support Services. The Receptionist position is a full time position, scheduled to work rotating schedule on the weekends also.
The receptionist responds to all calls coming into the switchboard console and assists visitors to the hospital. He / she is usually the first employee to meet and greet clients or visitors to the hospital.
The receptionist will monitor the fire panels and announce emergency codes over the PA system. He / she will be under the direct supervision of the Director of Support Services with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Responsible for the dissemination and coordination of emergency responses and information, and notification to facility management and law enforcement if appropriate, in the event of emergency and / or security violation situations.
Performs monthly fire extinguisher inspections in all buildings. Identifies unfamiliar persons on campus and within the homes / buildings as captured on surveillance cameras and during routine patrols.
Ensures appropriate lighting for the safety of residents, staff, and visitors. May train other security officers. Works at a facility serving individuals who have complex needs and who may exhibit aggressive and / or self-injurious behaviors.
Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Completion of work requires the use of established methods and / or techniques and decisions are varied but based on well-defined guidelines.

Social Worker II The Social Worker II will work under direct supervision of the Social Work Supervisor. The Social Worker II functions as an active member of a multidisciplinary team on an inpatient psychiatric unit at the San Antonio State Hospital.
May provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, conditions and addictions, including severe mental illness in adults.
The social worker will follow assigned patients through the course of their stay or until their transfer to another unit.
Services provided to the patients include : Social assessments, assessments of patients, participating in the diagnosis of patients, recovery / treatment planning, provision of treatment, involvement in patient and family education, general casework, and coordination of aftercare services.
The social worker will also participate as an active member of the treatment team. Treatment methods include the provision of individual, marital, couple, family, psychoeducational and process group therapy, supportive counseling, direct practice, and psychotherapy.
Licensed Social workers are qualified to use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-5 (DSM-5), the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), and other diagnostic classification systems in assessment, diagnosis and other activities.
This position could provide the opportunity to work with a variety of units to include : Acute Care, Forensic 46B (incompetent to stand trial) and 46C (not guilty by reason of insanity), Residential, Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Geriatric.
