Campland on the Bay is a full-service, destination RV resort. Located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, we occupy 40 prime acres on Mission Bay just east of Crown Point.
Our Market is a convenience retail store that serves espressos and sells RV parts and other RV products, clothing and souvenirs, alcohol, snack foods and drinks, groceries, dairy products and tickets to local attractions.
Our baristas / cashiers make espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, teas, etc., provide friendly assistance to our guests, transact sales, keep the market clean and stocked, balance cash drawers and prepare required reports.
If you have a good memory, sense of urgency, ability to follow directions, make a practice of showing up for work on time and reliably, handle sales transactions accurately, demonstrate friendly interpersonal skills and function as part of a team, you'll do well with us.

Seasonal Resort Dockhand
Campland's Marina is on beautiful Mission Bay. Our dockhands wear a lot of hats : they operate the Marina store, which includes ringing up sales on the cash registers, perform maintenance on our rental boat fleet, keep the store and docks clean, and anticipate guest questions by providing information about the local area.
Dockhands also rent bikes, surreys, kayaks and other land and water sports gear, and install fanciful bike lights. Must be available to work days and evenings as wells on weekends and holidays.
Some overtime may arise, too. Pays $16.30-$17.00 / hour; up to 32 hours / week. Eligible for bonus. EOE M / F / D / V
Must be at least 18 years old with good math, communication, cleaning, speaking and writing skills as well as basic boating knowledge, knowledge of sail and powerboat mechanics and good boat handling skills.
Dockhands work in indoor and outdoor conditions. Outdoor conditions include wet and slippery surfaces and being on boats or catamarans that bob and roll when floating.
Dockhands lift, pull, and push objects with their arms and hands and these may weigh up to 50 lbs. They also drag boats or catamarans from the beach into the bay.
Dockhands must be able to stand and walk on uneven, wet or slippery surfaces and wade or swim. Perks : Free use of marina vessels as long as they aren’t rented, a truly beautiful work location and fun co-workers.

Security Guard
Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort are full-service, destination RV and tent camping resorts. Located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, Campland occupies 40 prime acres on Mission Bay just east of Crown Point.
Mission Bay RV Resort occupies 20 acres on Mission Bay on the east side of Rose Creek. We are getting ready for our summer busy season and seek friendly and qualified candidates for all shifts at the resorts.
These shifts include mornings, afternoon, and graveyard 24 / 7.
Blending a friendly demeanor and patience with the ability to address problems or troublemakers is critical to success in this position.
Our rangers assist our guests and provide security to both resorts. Hours per week may vary depending on business need. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
We conduct pre-hire background checks. $17.50-$19.70 DOE plus park perks.
On any given shift, you’ll do one, several, or even all of these things according to our policies and procedures :
- Assist guests by answering questions, providing directions, responding to emergencies, accidents, solving problems or accepting items for lost and found
- Patrol the resort via foot or golf cart to make sure the perimeters are secure
- Enforce park rules (for example, address excess noise and parking violations)
- Staff the entrance gates : verify or issue parking permits, direct police or first responders to correct locations, allow or turn away pedestrians or bicyclists, answer the phone, observe live video from our numerous security cameras
- Provide extra security at live entertainment events
- Provide security at Campland's bar and restaurant
- Write detailed reports of incidents you respond to or witness
- Clear park storm drains as weather conditions require
- Assist guest with logging into internet or programming their tv’s with our cable system
The work environment is primarily outdoors in day and night conditions. Temperatures fluctuate from the low 40s in winter to highs in the 90s, although most of the year they hover in the 60s and 70s.
We experience rainy and arid conditions. Rangers patrol the resort via foot or golf carts, equipment permitting.
Physical requirements described here represent those you must meet to perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly be required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand or walk.
Push, pull and / or lift equipment which may weigh up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
