POSITION SUMMARY :

The Recruiter will provide full cycle recruiting functions including job description / requisition development, talent recruitment strategies, candidate sourcing, screening & assessment, and offer and hiring decision insight.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Identify and source candidates for open positions from targeted resources such as social media, recruiting platforms, industry / professional organizations, networking, etc.
  • Establish and build strong business relationships with the hiring managers to successfully understand their business, build sourcing solutions and provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure all job requisitions are completed accurately and that the job description and minimum essential requirements are consistent with the business function / discipline and requirements for posting.
  • Provide hands-on management of daily recruiting activities for open vacancies in corporate, sales and field locations within targeted client base
  • Conduct daily and timely screening of resumes and assist the Hiring Managers with any prescreening / recruiting needs throughout the staffing process
  • Provide clear, actionable updates to HR team and management to achieve recruiting results
  • Establish, grow, and maintain relationships with technical schools, military sources, industry / professional organizations, etc.

  • Provide proper compliance guidance (with assistance from HR Management or counsel as needed) throughout hiring process
  • Work with the Hiring Manager, HR Generalists and HR Coordinator to assist with the offer and on-boarding process once a candidate has been identified

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 3+ years recruiting experience in oil & gas / energy industry
  • Proven track record of driving recruitment using effective recruiting strategy, on-line resources, networking and competitor sourcing
  • Must possess a deadline oriented and hands-on approach to recruiting with demonstrated ability to achieve recruiting goals in a timely manner
  • Strong sense of urgency with excellent verbal / written communications
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with management and sourcing resources
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external customers and management at various levels of an organization
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong customer services skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (to include overnight trips) to attend recruiting events
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Regular and reliable attendance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field
  • Experience recruiting field positions in oil & gas / energy industry
  • Experience with ATS and HRIS systems. Taleo experience a plus.
  • Previous military and technical school hiring experience

Environmental Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY :

Targa Resources Corp., a midstream natural gas company, has an immediate opportunity for a Sr. Environmental Specialist in the Air Projects team which focuses on working with commercial, engineering, and operations to deliver the company’s business objectives.

This job will see air permitting projects from conception through completion and requires strong communication skills to effectively work with personnel across the company.

The position also works with the Corporate Environmental Compliance team to help implement new programs across the company.

This position can be located in Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City, or Midland and will report to the Manager, Air Quality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Title V and New Source Review Permitting determine permitting mechanism for new projects and complete permitting for new and modified oil and gas facilities.
  • Regulatory Analysis complete regulatory analyses to determine how a rule applies to new and modified oil and gas facilities.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering, operations, and commercial to deliver business objectives
  • Communicate effectively to different levels of company on permitting and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with outside organizations on permitting objectives and basis.
  • Engage and manage consultants on air permitting projects, as needed.
  • Provide assistance as an air permitting SME in compliance audits and resolving issues concerning environmental compliance, as needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of existing and proposed regulations that affect the oil and gas operations through training classes, lunch and learn, and conference attendance.

MINIMAL ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • B.S. in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related degree program, such as Chemistry, is preferred
  • 8+ years of air permitting experience or 5+ years of environmental compliance experience
  • General understanding of state and federal regulations that impact the oil and gas industry
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and work self-sufficiently given direction and resources.
  • Intermediate level desktop computer skills using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
  • Physical ability to work in the plant site and accompany regulators on plant tours.
  • Ability to travel away from Houston overnight periodically, as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 8+ years of air permitting experience, or 10+ years of environmental compliance experience would be considered for Sr. level role.
  • Air permitting experience in the oil and gas industry, or consulting environment
  • Air permitting experience in New Mexico and Texas
  • Strong computer skills using simulation programs including PROMAX, GRI-GLYCalc, and AMINECalc.
  • Demonstration of effective project management skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside the company (regulatory agencies, contractors, consultants).
