Talent LogistiX is seeking an Experienced Quality Engineer for a local manufacturing company. This position has a potential for long-term position with a stable company that offers full benefits for employees, such as health / vision / dental insurance, life insurance and PTO.

This position is in a manufacturing environment and requires extensive walking and standing with a majority of the day spent on the production floor.

The ability to communicate quickly and clearly with all levels of the organizations is essential. Serves as the first point of contact for supplier quality issues.

Will work extensively with hourly and salaried personnel to determine validity and extent of supplier quality issues. The position will work with Materials Planners and Supplier Quality Techs.

Must be able to document and articulate issues affecting the quality of the products. Will work with Quality Techs or other personnel to contain quality issues as well as data logging defects and performing an initial investigations of issues using a PPS document to walk through problems and provide results of investigations to the Quality Engineers.

Job DescriptionAs the Renewable Energy Storage Systems (RESS) Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and crafting quality solutions for medium level changes.

The Quality Engineer will conduct defect analysis resolution and verification for vehicle subsystem quality, while also supporting vehicle engineering in the Implementation of the Quality Requirements.

Roles / Responsibilities * Maintain documentation of Launch Manufacturing Quality Readiness Reviews.

  • Actively participate in Plant Quality Manager Meetings & Launch Quality Manager Meetings.
  • Manage projects as requested from Quality shop Director.
  • Managerial Courage to provide direct, transparent, constructive feedback to Plant Staff / Executive* Leadership in a subtle and professional manner.
  • Present the Assembly Plant and Engineering Staff with clear problem definition, technical mentorship on sophisticated problems, and regular updates on progress.
  • Support Launch of new products in the plant when applicable.
  • Maintain updates to Quality Requirements and Cost of Quality reports by Plant.
  • Must be willing to work all shifts / rotate

Minimum Requirements :

  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in Manufacturing working on Quality related processes / issues
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

This employer is seeking an EXPERIENCED Industrial Welder(TIG and Stick) in Indianapolis, IN to join our winning team. We offer steady work, above average wages with weekly pay and a full benefits package for those with the skills and knowledge to help our clients achieve their goals.

HOURS : Monday-Friday 7am-4pm, some weekend workLOCATION : Indianapolis, IN PAY RATE : $25-$32 / hr (depending on experience)

Responsibilities :

  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
  • Read and interpret blueprints and / or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
  • TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and / or drawings
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  • Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
  • Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
  • Follow all company rules and policies
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Prepare product for shipment
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually (up to 60 pounds), or using a hoist
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

MUST HAVE ALL PPE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HARD HAT, WORK BOOTS, SAFETY GLASSES, GLOVES AND HARNESS & LANYARDRequirements : *OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Training and Safety preferred.

  • Training and certification to weld.*Experience with drawing, TIG Weld, C, 3G, GTAW, FCAW, and MIG Welding processes.*Demonstrated dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Will strive for continuous improvement on the job.*A critical thinker with a demonstrated sound work ethic.*Fluent in geometry, templating, stick, and smaw.
  • Experience with steel, aluminum and / or stainless steel required*Experience with TIG and stick welding required.*Experience with CNC press breaks, CNC folding machines and automatic saws highly preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required.*Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods*Ability to identify and measure material*Ability to produce quality products consistently*Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form*Willingness to learn and work to the best of his / her abilities as well as dependable work ethic*Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses*Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges Talent Logistix is a work force business solutions provider.
