What you’ll do
Responsibilities
- Define and measure key outcome metrics for products that cater to our users needs.
- Design and analyze experiments to improve the conversion funnel for product adoption and targeting efficacy.
- Apply statistical methods, causal inference, and machine learning to inform product decisions and optimize our products and systems.
- Design and develop data sets that enable better understanding of adoption and engagement.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, finance, and marketing teams to identify and prioritize the most important data science projects.

Minimum requirements
- 6+ years of data science / quantitative modeling experience.
- A PhD or MS in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Sciences, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Expert knowledge of a scientific computing language (such as R or Python) and SQL.
- Expertise in statistics and experimental design.
- Prior experience with product and / or go to market data science or enthusiasm to learn.
- A demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with a high attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate results clearly and a focus on driving impact.
Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $185,600 - $251,077. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions / sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.

About the team
You will be joining Stripe’s Growth team to help millions of merchants
consider, adopt and grow their business with Stripe’s full suite of
financial products. Our team is responsible for improving and
accelerating the full journey of our self-serve customers from
consideration to long-term value, and is accountable for the self-serve
business line as well as contributing to the sales pipeline directly
driving Stripe’s topline revenue targets.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will have an opportunity to understand the needs of
Stripe’s self-serve customers, help them understand how Stripe can serve
their business, and get them started on using relevant Stripe products.
You will primarily focus on the new customer journey, from awareness to
getting started on Stripe. You will work closely with a cross-functional
team across engineering, design, marketing, DS, research and will be
accountable for self-serve revenue outcomes.
Responsibilities
You will build a deep understanding of our self-serve customers across
different types of businesses, synthesizing data and research and
experiments into clear customer problems.
You will think holistically across all Stripe surfaces where we reach
self-serve customers, and develop an opinionated strategy and roadmap
for helping new customers understand Stripe’s product offerings and
adopting one or more products.
You will partner with a cross-functional team to execute on a product
roadmap that drives self-serve revenue outcomes.

Minimum requirements
5+ years of experience as a product manager launching consumer or B2B
products from strategy to successful outcomes
Bonus : Experience working on growth problems (acquisition, activation,
retention)
Experience with iterative hypothesis-driven product development and
experimentation
Experience working with a broad set of stakeholders and driving
alignment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Takes an ownership mindset and works on whatever it takes to solve
problems and delight users
Spikes in cutting through ambiguity to produce strategic insights and
opportunities
Pay and benefits
