Required Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Candidates must have experience gathering and documenting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the requirements analysis lifecycle, Data analysis, financial experience and strong foundational RDBMS expertise.
  • The emphasis is on business and data analysis, as opposed to a technology skillset (developers, DBS, etc.).
  • Data management, data lineage / metadata, data controls; experience in data control governance; data defect / issue / deficiency remediation;

documenting data flows / process flows

  • Experience writing business requirements as JIRA stories.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum & Kanban environments.
  • Strong data profiling and data analytics
  • Strong SQL writing experience (joins, unions, sub-queries)
  • Experience understanding pseudo-SQL code and reverse engineer them to write requirements.

Title : Security Architect

Location : Detroit, MI (Initially remote)

Duration : 12+ months

Role Type : W2 contract engagement

Role Summary :

  • The Security Architect will play a crucial role in setting the strategy and technical direction applied to ensuring that the enterprise security architecture conforms to disciplined, industry best practices for information security and aligns with business strategies and requirements.
  • This highly visible position will be front and center as we work to continuously modernize our solutions and change the way we apply technology across our systems.
  • A successful candidate for this position must possess both a deep and wide background in information security being applied across a wide breadth of technologies spanning both solutions built on traditional platforms, such as web and commercial products (SAP, IBM Maximo) and more modern deployments on cloud technology stacks.
  • As a key member of the architecture team, the candidate should be comfortable with driving technical ideas and communicating clearly with technical as well as non-technical audiences.
  • The Security Architect will be a liaison between architecture, information security, application and vendor teams.

Skills Required :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen and a commercial outlook
  • Understanding of all security and cyber security domains such as Identity Management, Cloud Security, Network Security, Access Control, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, with in depth experience in at least 2 domains.
  • Security considerations of cloud computing.
  • Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies.
  • Network security and architecture components such as firewalls, intrusion prevention / detection.
  • Problem solving and strong analytical skills.

Experience / Qualifications :

  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Advanced IT security certifications such as CISSP, ISSAP and CISM are advantageous.
  • 5-10 years' experience in information security and systems architecture.
  • A strong working knowledge of current IT risks, security implementations, and computer operating and software programs.
  • Excellent teaching, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with / knowledge of Relevant National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards Responsibilities.
  • Devising an overarching security architecture.
  • Making investment recommendations and decisions where new software or systems are required.
  • Architecting solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.
  • Definition of identity management architecture and security realms to establish security architecture for employee, contractor, third party and customer user groups.
  • Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
  • Conceptualize, research, and design reliable, powerful, and flexible security architectures for all IT projects.
  • Presentation of technology vision to senior IT management.
  • Developing a full knowledge and understanding of the enterprises IT, technology and information systems in order to create a security architecture and roadmap.
  • Introduce best practices and principles to enable consistent delivery and enable alignment with long-term direction.
  • Stay up to date on new tools & techniques in the information security space.
  • Conduct proof of concept activities with key business users in support of advanced use cases.
