In partnership with the Senior Physician Recruiter, the Physician Recruiter is responsible for sourcing candidates to fill identified roles, qualifying applicants, and providing a positive overview of the practice in which they will be working within Steward Health Care system.
The Physician Recruiter actively sources candidates locally and nationally as needed to fill open positions and create a pipeline of future candidates for our medical group.

Security Officer
Job Summary
Officer protects life and property of all persons on hospital premises and patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism.
Secures, unlocks, and protects hospital buildings. Responds to security needs of the hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Responds quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Assists hospital staff in de-escalation of tense situations and responds immediately to support the safety of staff.
- Maintains current information in daily activity reports / logs, incident reports, lost and found logs, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2-5 years of experience in the field of law enforcement, security operations, or a related field is required. Experience in Health Care setting is preferred.
- A current Basic Life Support (CPR) American Red Cross or American Heart Association Provider certification or a CPI certification is preferred.
- Must be able tosuccessfully clear a background check, including a criminal search. Use or possession of a firearm and / or other weapons is prohibited.

Executive Assistant
The Emergency Medicine Executive Assistant works closely with the Business Manager and Chief of Service to provide administrative support.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure appropriate time management (schedule prep time for important meetings, time to read emails, etc.).
- Coordinate and process bi-weekly payroll for physicians.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate necessary logistics, participant invitations, confirmation, etc.
- Prepare weekly and monthly administrative and ad hoc reports.
- Prepare and provide analytical support for monthly reports and trend tracking.
- Track and submit licensing renewals and other time sensitive credentialing documents.
- Process reimbursements for physician and midlevel network.
- General administrative support including : process incoming and outgoing mail, manage and order office supplies, prepare correspondence, maintain network working, reference and historic files, and track and follow up on urgent and pending issues.
- Maintain working knowledge of relevant policies and procedures and provide information in this regard as required;
Education and Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills, energy and enthusiasm with a positive outlook;
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and to perform tasks simultaneously with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience providing administrative support;

Medical Assistant
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Actively participate in clinic patient flow, informs physicians of patients’ arrival and room assignment.
- Accompanies and / or assists patients to the exam room in a professional manner; setting up the exam room and preparing the patient.
- Obtains patient vital signs, to include height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration. Pulse-oximetry if needed.
- Enter triage and other data into electronic health record in use.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Performs EKGs, Labs including UA, urine pregnancy, quick strep testing, stool testing, finger sticks for blood sugars.
- Perform or assist in the following procedures : vision and ear lavage, simple dressing changes, peak flows, nebulizer treatments, fleets enema administration.
- Explains test procedures to patients
- May assist with other support activities, to include packaging and sterilizing equipment and supplies
- Maintain patient areas clean and safe
- Maintain and improve knowledge and expertise through continuous training
- Take inventory of supplies, equipment and medication
- Ensure clinical areas are well stocked.
- Ensure expiration dates have not lapsed.
- Communicate problems and concerns to supervisors
- Actively participate in team huddles and staff meetings
- Copying / faxing medical records and related documents
- Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating positive behaviors towards patients, families / visitors, providers, other department staff, and co-workers.
- Perform quality assurance activities
- Initiate, process and follow up on referrals / authorizations.
- Properly import vital signs into the electronic medical record.
- Locate and follow computerized orders.
- Document care and services into the electronic medical record.
- Review clinic schedules; ensure that lab and imaging results are available for physician review.
- Attend all training classes to maintain computer skills.
- Pass all proficiency tests.
- Performs other duties as assigned and / or needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
- Computer skills required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required; good team member.
- Understands basic medical terminology
- Proficiency in hospital and physician practice computer systems such as Meditech, Athena and other comparable systems.
- Phlebotomy skills for basic venipuncture.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external).
- Understands routine lab and imaging studies including specimen processing, lab requisition, and sorting results.

Physician Assistant
This position is responsible for providing Physician Assistant services for a Surgery Program located in Massachusetts. The primary responsibilities of the Physician Assistant include assessing, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating health care to patients in the office setting and at the Hospital including some first call responsibility.
Responsibilities in the office include :
- Perform consults on new and established patients.
- Functions independently and collaboratively to perform history and physical for acute, critical patients.
- Performing diagnostic tests and screening evaluations.
- Help to organize clinical protocols for the practice
- Prescribing medications.
- Reviewing diagnostic results
- Responding to patient inquiries
- Office procedures commensurate with experience and comfort
Responsibilities in the Hospital include :
The PA will perform detailed histories and physical exams, review patients medical records, order laboratories studies, radiological and diagnostic studies.
Record appropriate and accurate daily progress notes. The PA will provide patients and families with pre-operative and other pertinent education.
They will answer questions regarding surgery, recovery and risk factor modification, procedures. The PA will arrange for hospital admission and discharge at the direction of the supervising physician.
In addition, the PA will :
- Provide assistance in the operating room
- Independently perform routine CT procedures on the floors and in the emergency room commensurate with experience and comfort level.
- Responsible for providing firstcall coverage from home on a basis to be determined by supervising physician.
- Daily physical assessment and daily rounding on all urology patients.
- Consult with the supervising physician regarding physical findings and course of treatment.
- Order appropriate medications as determined by the supervising physician or designee.
- Order diagnostic tests per as determined by the supervising physician or designee.
- Initiate consultations to other services, authorized by the supervising physician or designee.
- Accountable for maintaining the confidentiality of all Steward Medical Group and patient related information.
- Abide by all Steward Medical Group policies & procedures.
- Conduct other duties as assigned by the supervising physician.
Qualifications :
- MA license to practice as a Physician Assistant Start date contingent on successful enrollment of insurance payors.
- DEA / FL Control Substance licensure
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Urology experience in a surgical program preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification

Registered Nurse
Position Summary :
Delivers professional and technical nursing care to pediatric(>
2 years), adolescent, adult and geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures in collaboration with care directed by the medical staff.
Nursing care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation when delivering surgical nursing care.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age / developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards.
Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
Prepares equipment and assists physician during surgical procedures. Takes emergency call as assigned by the department head.
Works assigned shifts but may be asked to work beyond the regular tour of duty as assigned by the department head or nursing supervisor.

Qualifications :
- Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card
- One year Peri operative experience preferred
