Director, Regional Sales-Healthcare

Position Summary

The Director, Regional Sales Consumables for Infection Prevention Technology Consumable business is responsible for building and maintaining a high-performance sales team to effectively drive the strategic business objectives.

This position also is responsible for executing the policies and programs to achieve objectives for market share, distribution, and sales of products through appropriate markets (distributors, healthcare organizations, purchasing groups, etc.).

The Director, Regional Sales - Consumables assists in the development of sales goals, monitors results achieved, and initiates actions to achieve attainment of established objectives.

Accountability measures include Customer satisfaction, revenue and profit objectives, embracing new products and talent management.

This is a remote based customer facing position. To support and service our customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of the following state : California.

Duties

  • Creates an atmosphere of Customer orientation within the region. Ensures Customer needs are communicated and interpreted into all facets of organizational structure.
  • Facilitates the development and expansion of the region’s business by developing and nurturing strategic relationships and associations in the healthcare industry.
  • Develops and executes both short and long range sales plans in their region, in conjunction with Senior Management, to ensure profitability and growth.
  • Achieves / exceeds all revenue, gross margin and focus product targets for the region.
  • Develops and clearly communicates business strategies, measures of success and accountabilities.
  • Builds and maintains a high-performance sales team to effectively drive the strategic business objectives.
  • Creates an environment which encourages self-development, creative thinking and problem solving. Assures the success of the individual in the organization through sponsorship.
  • Ensures members of the sales team are meeting objectives and driving Customer satisfaction. Recognizes and rewarding team members appropriately.
  • Monitors and reports market trends to appropriate STERIS employees and implements appropriate region sales and marketing strategies to capitalize on all opportunities.
  • Assists the AVP in developing and managing the Zone’s business.
  • Provides timely and accurate unit and revenue forecasts.
  • Approves pricing levels within the parameters established in the pricing policy guidelines.
  • Manages region business within budgeted expense levels.
  • Assures the expense portions of profitability are within budgets and guidelines established.
  • Helps identify the key business implications or changes in existing processes, programs and priorities.
  • Continually analyzes and revises critical success factors for the business.
  • Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with internal support functions of the organization by consistently sharing information, responsibilities, decision-making and recognition with others in support of the common purpose Customer satisfaction.
  • Networks with Industry leaders, corporate partners, and key influencers within area or responsibility.
  • Drives process improvement and effectiveness while respond to Customers without loss of quality.

Required Experience

  • Seven to ten (7-10) years of demonstrated success in Medical Sales.
  • Five years STERIS Sales preferred. Competitive or related experience considered.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience leading people and / or leaders, preferably within a sales capacity
  • BS / BA Administration / Marketing, Biology or related field

  • Strong people leadership experience with the ability to lead, motivate and influence a team of sales consultants and / or sales leaders
  • Strong sales mentality with proven track record of growing, managing and maintaining a book of business
  • Professional level written and oral communication skills

Pay range for this opportunity is $104,680.00 - $140,920.50.This position is eligible for commission.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county / city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Employees (and their families) may enroll in our company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, health savings account, voluntary benefits, supplemental life / AD&D plans and the company’s 401k plan.

Employees are covered by an employee assistance program (also available to household members) and long-term disability. Full-Time Employees are also eligible for short-term disability.

Full-time Employees will also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service and paid Holidays. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week.

Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.

Our Healthcare Customers are federally mandated (by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or CMS) requiring vendors to have the COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption.

There are select Customers who do not accept any exceptions. Unvaccinated Associates may be excluded from working at a Customer site, require routine testing with an approved exemption (if accepted by the Customer) or have limited Customer access impacting their ability to remain employed.

Additionally, we may be required to meet state mandates on COVID-19 vaccination, exemptions and / or booster requirements.

This position is a Customer-facing role that falls under a state or CMS mandate.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will provide manufacturing engineering support to operations through line support, continuous improvement, capacity improvements and new product transfers.

You will help improve the overall efficiency of the manufacturing operation while optimizing human work factors, quality control, material flow, etc.

by identifying areas for improvement through use of statistics and root cause analysis tools.

Duties

  • Prepares straightforward plans, designs, calculations, analyses, etc. in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings, or other specifications.
  • Conducts tests, gathers and analyzes information, helps interpret findings.
  • Requires familiarity with technical terms or procedures basic to the function in order to communicate effectively with co-workers.
  • Requires basic oral, written and listening skills to gather, prepare, present and discuss findings and conclusions.
  • Create and maintain BOMs and routers following accepted standards and ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
  • Performs engineering calculations by calculator or computer to solve routine engineering problems.
  • Participate as a member of the product development team; interact with interdisciplinary teams in various projects.
  • Assists in the development of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Assists in the design and fabrication of manufacturing process equipment and methods.
  • Assists in the troubleshooting of systems and equipment and performs repairs under close supervision.
  • Requisitions components and supplies for engineering projects, interacting with vendors to obtain price and product information.
  • Performs manufacturability studies on new product designs.
  • Works closely with Design Engineering during the manufacturability studies.

Education Degree

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study AND Five (5) Years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study AND Five (5) Years of experience, the employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study AND Two (2) Years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.

Must also have demonstrated experience with :

  • Part manufacturing, machine setup and part programming required in manufacturing process development;
  • Conducting quality internal audits (ISO 9001 : 2015);
  • Solid Works, Microsoft Excel, Auto CAD or Part Maker;
  • G code programming-manual and using CAM software;
  • Tooling applications (speed and feeds);
  • GDT;
  • Part tolerances;
  • Programming and machining at a precision machine shop;
  • CNC programming software (Solidworks or Partmaker);
  • Multi-axis CNC lathes, Swiss type CNC lathes, or vertical machining centers;
  • Using and reading various measuring instruments.
