Responsibilities
Job Summary :
The Neurosurgery Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) will function as a member of the Surgery Team
and act under the supervision of an approved supervising physician. The incumbent will provide care
and guidance to patients, take history and perform physical examinations. This position assists during
procedures within the scope of practice : in closing major and minor incisions, records post-op orders
and follow-up progress notes as required, and assists in the transport and care of patients from the
operating room to the recovery room or intensive care unit. Duties include : visiting patients daily to
evaluate, observe and answer questions; give patients post-operative discharge instructions; and assist
in discharge planning. The incumbent administers physician's prescriptions and treatments for patients,
and performs prescribed therapeutic procedures. The incumbent participates in collection and
abstraction of data for registry reports, as requested, and provides input on performance improvement
strategies. Call responsibilities are required for this position.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Five to Nine years experience in the surgical setting
- Master's Degree
- Graduate from a program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- Additional education may be required for some specialty areas.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Surgical First Assist Certification required
- CT PA - Physician Assistant - Current licensure to practice as a physician assistant issued by the Nevada Board of Medicine
- Successful credential process with the Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Medical Staff
- Must meet requirements as set forth by the bylaws
- This position requires on-call responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications :
- Ten years as a Physician Assistant for neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery and general surgery procedures in acute care setting through the preop, intraop, and post-op phases of care.
- Experience with surgical instruments and surgical techniques that are used for neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery

Responsibilities
Position Summary :
Under the direction of the manager Chief Technologist and Medical Director the Medical Technologist performs clinical testing in one of more of the following areas : blood bank chemistry serology hematology urinalysis coagulation special chemistry and / or microbiology.
The Technologist obtains or receives specimens performs laboratory tests according to written procedures understands methods and principles performs and evaluates quality control on a daily basis and informs the Chief Technologist or Laboratory Manager of problems.
The technologist performs preventative maintenance on instrumentation and interprets results as to their accuracy acceptability and critical limits and organizing work to meet established deadlines and record all data obtained.
The technologist is also responsible for instruction of MT and MLT students.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Prefer at least two (2) years experience as Medical Technologist. May consider less experience for entry level position as determined by manager.
- B.S. degree in Medical Technology or related field of study.
- Able to work independently read and analyze technical material and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to handle and process confidential information.
- Must demonstrate the ability to understand and practice unique infant / child adolescent and geriatric population differences and to effectively meet those needs as they related to patient handling specimen processing and collection.
- CT MEDTECHI Cert Medical Technologist.
- Must be licensed by the state of Nevada as a Medical Technologist General Supervisor national certification as MT (ASCP) or equivalent required generalist experience desirable with strong background in blood bank chemistry hematology coagulation microbiology / serology.
Preferred Qualifications :
- LIC CLT Licensed Clinical Technologist with LIC MTGS Licensed Medical Technologist General Supervisor preferred.

Position Summary :
The Social Worker is responsible for performing social work assessments and interventions as needed for inpatients outpatients and emergency department patients.
