The Bookkeeper fulfills the mission of the parish by ensuring effective and efficient administration of bookkeeping, accounting, and HR functions.
This position will provide support to multiple parishes assigned to the Pastor.
Essential Functions
Accounting / Bookkeeping
- Provides Bookkeeping, Payroll, and Human Resources support for the parish.
- Writes checks and maintains parish checking account; reconciles account with bank statements and submits documentation for reimbursement.
- Maintains accounts payable / receivable, payroll, deposit and financial records.
- Posts deposits of contributions, donations, and other receipts in accounting system.
- Prepares change boxes for special activities and accounts for monies.
- Maintains accounting records; posts receipts and expenditures to proper accounts and prepares a variety of financial reports.
- Maintains and reconciles other fund accounts as assigned; Reconciles budget printouts received from the Archdiocese Business Office Department and all parish financial data.
- Responds to inquiries concerning account matters; meets with auditors and Business Office Department as necessary to provide records, information, and explanations.
- Prepares financial budget and reports for pastor approval and prepares status reports for staff.
- Monitors budget to actual performance.
- Ensures all tax reports (941, W-2s, 1099s) are filed in a timely manner.
- Coordinates all financial reports and letters with the local Pastor
- Oversee electronic giving (credit card, online, ACH, etc.) records and deposits.
- Performs monthly accounting tasks such as monthly general ledger entries and adjustments to close the month / quarter / year.
- Assists in facility rentals and take payments as needed.
Human Resources Duties
- Prepares, reviews, and submits bi-weekly and monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for providing Pastor appropriate time report registers for review and approval.
- Ensures employee records are always current and accurate in HRIS system.
- Coordinate with Human Resources on deployment and implementation of HR policy and / or process changes, as appropriate.
- Assist Pastor in the administration of Archdiocesan Hiring Policies which include recruiting, hiring, onboarding and new employee orientation.
- Reconciles employee benefits to monthly invoices and ensures completed correctly and in a timely manner.

- Performs a variety of office duties, such as typing, filing, answering the telephone, opening, and distributing mail, assisting office visitors and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and / or 3-5 years previous accounting experience.
- Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Previous experience with accounts payable A / P, accounts receivable A / R, general ledger, payroll, and bank / benefit
- reconciliations.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or other similar software.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Physical Demands :
- Office job at parish
- Must be able to remain in a stationery position 80% of the time.
- Operates a computer and other office machineries such as copy machine, fax / printer.
- Occasional lifting 10-20 pounds.
- Physical use of telephone.

Janitorial Worker PT
Description
Reports To : Pastor or Designated Supervisor
FLSA Status : Non-exempt
Work Schedule : Monday thru Friday, early mornings
Position Summary :
The Custodian / Janitorial Worker will be responsible for the care, cleanliness and maintenance of the parish facilities and grounds.
This position will also require the individual to be knowledgeable of all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Clean and care for assigned areas including dusting, and polishing of furniture, equipment and other fixtures
- Sanitize pews, chairs, and kneelers
- Clean all building floors (sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming)
- Polish, seal, and strip floors
- Clean all windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Clean and resupply restrooms
- Gather and empty trash bins
- Check grounds for litter / garbage and unsafe conditions
- Lift and carry supplies, equipment, deliveries etc. weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Set-up rooms for meetings and timeframe requested (moving tables, chairs, microphone, chalk boards, etc.)
- Stock and maintain all custodial supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner including, paper, toiletries, lighting cleaning chemicals and other supplies
- Identify and report building and ground issues in need of repair or attention to Pastor or designated supervisor
- Observe and adhere to all safe work and health policies and regulations
- Any other duties as required by the Pastor
Requirements
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
- Prior custodian / janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge and / or experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Experience with operating various cleaning equipment
- Ability to perform with minimal daily supervision
- Must be proactive in support of the Parish purpose, goals, policies and programs
- Must possess good interpersonal communication skills
- Must complete and pass VIRTUS training and criminal background check
Physical Demands / Work Environment :
- Spend majority of work time standing / squatting / lifting / kneeling doing a wide variety of moderate physical activity both indoors and outdoors
- The position requires the lifting of tools, and equipment or material weighing up to 30 lbs. as necessary
- Use of ladders and climbing to maintain facilities when necessary

Summary : The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization.
Provides a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and supplies information regarding the organization and performs a variety of tasks.

Greets clients, visitors, and guests in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner. Provides any necessary instruction / directions.

Job Summary : The Coach fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by developing, initiating, and administering the program in a particular sport which adequately prepares the student athlete for interscholastic competition.
The Coach is recommended to the principal by the athletic director, hired by the principal, and evaluated in consultation with the athletic director.
