Provides support to the Security department through monitoring requests for assistance, alarm and notifications and taking appropriate action.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Processes incoming and outgoing radio assignments, obtains pertinent information from the reporting party prioritizes the required department response, and dispatches Security personnel.

Coordinates with other departments to obtain information, obtain and send assistance and / or provide essential information to support operations.

  • Monitors and operates security handheld radio, emergency phones, access control, video management, and alarm systems / panels and answer telephone calls, obtain essential details, and provide call details to allow appropriate response by security department personnel.
  • Monitors security personnel response and provide additional support and call law enforcement, emergency medical services (EMS), and / or fire department when required.
  • Maintains lost and found, valuables, and conduct audits periodically.
  • Documents radio calls and dispatch actions, and completes security reports in accordance with departmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Utilizes mass notification platforms to send out ministry communications and receive and announce weather, medical, and other clinical and security safety response codes.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider, registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.

Security Officer - Days

SSM Health is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. We are pleased to offer a $3,000 Sign on Bonus to new SSM candidates!

This position is a Full-time, 36 hours per week role. The schedule is 3, 12 hour shifts a week, 7am - 7pm. The shift is a day shift position, possibly weekends.

3 days a week with a 4th day scheduled every other week. The ideal candidate would have at least one year of experience.

Requirements for the role are a valid Driver License - State of OK, FUTURE - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) within 60 days - American Heart Association (AHA) and FUTURE - Basic Level Certification within 6 months - International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS).

Provides a reasonably safe and secure environment by providing security services for the staff, patients, visitors, and premises as well as be first responders to urgent facility matters.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Protects property and staff by conducting interior and exterior rounds, observing for safety and security issues, theft, and monitoring of parking lots.
  • Promotes visitor and employee safety while they are on the organization's property by providing door checks, detecting lighting deficiencies, confirming proper operation of elevators, assisting with disruptive individuals, patient restraints and provides escorts to both staff and clients when requested.
  • Responds to overhead pages or requests for assistance, including escorting emergency personnel through the building, as well as provide post-mortem services.
  • Provides professional customer service when dealing with complex and dynamic situations when approached by staff or clients and utilizes a proactive approach to identifying safety and security hazards by communicating with clinical staff.
  • Observes and reports any security concerns / assessments. Completes incident reports and shift logs and forwards to appropriate individuals.
  • Provides maintenance assistance through property conservation and campus safety approaches such as : alarm testing, check life safety equipment, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), oxygen tanks, fire extinguishers, access control, badging, etc.
