Role
Splunk is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Engineer to join our presales team, within our Manufacturing Vertical (West Coast) .
This is an opportunity to work at a company that is changing the way information supports business decisions.
Responsibilities :
- Ability to demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows.
- Partner with the regional sales team to develop strategic and technical account and territory plans.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle not only with our customer's technical staff.
- Self-motivated with a consistent record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
- Ability to be organized and analytical and must be able to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.
- Answer complex technical and competitive questions plus address customer concerns to a successful outcome.
- You should have experience with discovering pain and determining value with customers.
Requirements :
- 7+ years related experience in selling and supporting software products to IT organizations
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of each target client’s business, operations and industry patterns, including understanding the strategic business and technology goals.
- Understand how Splunk’s solutions can provide capabilities and benefits in order to address our customers' needs
- Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures.
- Familiarity with observability tools and experience working with containers or microservices on the AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure platforms where you are certified or eager to become certified.
- Familiarity with customers and use-cases in the manufacturing or supply chain industries.
- Willing to travel to visit prospects and customers, and to engage in onsite customer work when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject area preferred or similar proven experience
Technical Knowledge and Experience : Bonuses!
- Experience working with complex application environments, with the ability to understand relevant sources of machine data, such as performance logs, application logs, audit logs, security data sources, network centric data, etc
- Experience with Security Operations (including SIEM, SOAR, ) and / or Security Architecture
- Experience with cloud native Applications and cloud architectures

Content Marketing Manager (Remote) - 27747

As a Content Marketing Manager, you will be a critical component of creating and editing content that differentiates Splunk and drives business outcomes.
You will work with Product Marketing to learn our products and their value propositions. You will partner closely with our campaigns team and fellow content marketers to create an end-to-end content strategy, and build compelling content that answers specific questions along the customer journey.
In this multifaceted role, you will also help drive and improve team operations by managing our inbound request process and content calendar, aligned to team and company priorities.
Responsibilities
- Write compelling content to answer our customers' and prospects' questions at various stages of their journey
- Work closely with product marketing to understand the intersection of our audience’s needs and products’ benefits
- Support development of content strategy across the security and observability customer journeys
- Manage the intake process for inbound requests across the Content Marketing team
- Drive process improvements in our request process, constantly helping the team prioritize based on tradeoffs between business value and effort level
- Copyedit content across the team, ensuring alignment to the Splunk style guide and constantly looking for ways to improve
- Be a fountain of ideas for fresh, compelling content
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in journalism, content marketing, communications or similar writing-forward roles, with experience in the technology space (B2B preferred)
- Strong detail orientation across different types of projects
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with proven ability to meet deadlines and multitask on a variety of projects
- Ability to turn complex topics into easy-to-understand stories written for specific personas and objectives
- History of and passion for improving cross-team processes
- Demonstrated strength in storytelling across a variety of topics
- Knowledge and curiosity of business and technology trends
- Passion for learning, growth and collaboration
