Responsibilities :

Receive, enter, and dispatch orders received from customers for products or deliveries.

Coordinate and schedule appointments.

Assisting drivers with appointments and truck (breakdown) issues.

Issuing EFS payments for lumpers.

Coordinating with dock to load trailers for delivery.

Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information.

General office duties.

Requirements :

Proven experience as a dispatcher in trucking / transportation.

Tech savvy with knowledge of Word and Excel.

Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations.

Proficient in English (oral and written).

Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.

Active listener with excellent communication skills.

Sound judgment and critical thinking.

WHAT THE CLASS A DRIVER DOES ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS :

• Pick up and delivery - deliver freight to stores
• These are touch freight deliveries where drivers are required to unload loose boxes and throw them on a conveyor at the end of the trailer.
• Driving a 53 ft tractor-trailer

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS CLASS A DRIVER :

• At least 1 year of class A driving experience
• No more than 3 moving violations and / or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years
• No DUI conviction or controlled substance within the past 10 years
• Driving while license was suspended or revoked in a commercial or non-commercial vehicle

SHIFTS AVAILABLE :

• Monday-Friday, plus Saturdays
• 2-4 AM start time
• Working 10-12 hours / day
• Must be available to work weekends and any OT (50-60 hours / week)
