Position Summary :

This role is responsible to unload products from trucks and breakdown pallets. Provides assistant to various warehouse position as requested to include sanitation, selection, inventory control, etc.

May be responsible for fueling, washing and / or cleaning semi-trucks / trailers based on assigned distribution center.

Here’s what you’ll do :

Unload products from trucks; breakdown pallet and stack (lump) product on pallets and organize products to be placed into appropriate warehouse racks / pick slots.

Move or otherwise handle cases, boxes, bags, and / or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and / or tobacco products and related products as identified on order forms, in the quantities specified.

Assist with sanitation duties to include cleaning the warehouse, emptying garbage, etc. as assigned.

Responsible for fueling, washing and / or cleaning semi-trucks / trailers based on assigned distribution center.

May assist with checking product for damage, verifying accurate product and quantities received according to purchase order (PO) and pallet label.

May assist with completing selection orders; select products from the warehouse racks / pick slots, assemble, palletize and / or shrink wrap products / pallets for customer orders, and label cases / pallets with order labels in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

Lift products weighing between 30-60 lbs. frequently and products weighing up to 75 lbs. occasionally, while ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment by properly disposing of pallet boards, wood chips, and other trash, etc. and ensuring any spills are cleaned up quickly and according to safety guidelines.

May operate power industrial equipment such as a long-tongued electric pallet jack, high-extender high-lift and other moving equipment (i.e., walkers).

Ensure equipment is in good working order according to safety checklist as required.

Report damaged product and quality issues and notify supervisor of out-of-stock or low volume product(s).

Participate in rotation of products, move products to dock areas and perform other duties as assigned.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need :

High School Diploma (Preferred) or equivalent preferred.

One yearwarehouseexperience preferred.

Prior experience operating power industrial equipment, such as an electric pallet jack, long-tongued electric pallet jack and high-extender high lift preferred.

Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or withoutreasonableaccommodation in the conditions specified for 8 -10-hourshifts.

Must be able to work weekends, holidays, day and evening hours, and overtime as assigned.

Must understand and be able to communicate in English, including but not limited to, reading and interpreting order forms and selection labels.

Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse operation.

Able to safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and other material handling / industrial equipment.

Must follow safe working practices in accordance with Company safety policies and practices.

Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g.,freezer, coolers, dry conditions).

Must report for work regularly and on time, as scheduled.

Must be able to take direction from supervisor(s) and works well with others.

Must work well under pressure, and is able to organize and prioritize work assignments, and meet established deadlines.

Must perform assigned tasks accurately and completely.

This may include, but is not limited to, preparing documents / correspondence, compiling and verifying data, running reports, sorting mail and preparing shipments, assisting with warehouse payroll / accounting functions, etc.

Here’s what you’ll do :

Respond to routine requests and inquires by phone, in person or by correspondence; ensure responses to inquiries are timely and accurate or direct to appropriate contact.

Gather information, compile data and prepare, run and / or distribute reports (i.e., KPIs / Key Performance Indicators, Transportation Metrics, etc.

as assigned for warehouse and transportation.

Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare / process outgoing mail requests and shipping packages to service centers, vendors, retail stores, etc. as assigned.

Responsible to administer and reconcile petty cash accounts, product receipt and unloading fees, over-the-road driver allowance accounts, and other fund accounts (i.

e., vending machines); ensure accounting information (i.e., checks for deposit, invoices, etc.) are submitted to the corporate accounting team in a timely manner.

Work with corporate accounting team as appropriate to include, but not limited to, deposit of daily checks, set up of expense / vendor accounts, processing reclaim invoices, processingcharge-backsfrom coupons, coding invoices for accounting entry, etc.

Provide administrative support to warehouse operations to include, review and sort invoices and credits, process billing corrections;

process Pay on Delivery (PODs) invoices, verify purchase orders and receiving records, follow up to resolve discrepancies and escalate billing and / or cash receipt issues in an accurate and timelymanner.

Review data within the distribution center time clock and / or transportationpaperworkand ensure the timely and accurate calculations, processing and input of warehouse / transportation payroll data within the Payroll / HRIS system.

Validate the accuracy of data and coordinate with Corporate Payroll department, as necessary, to ensure payroll data is available by required deadline to ensure timely processing.

Resolve any issues and / or respond to questions from associates in a timely manner.

Perform clerical tasks such as, but not limited to, copy, fax and / or print documents; prepare correspondence for distribution management, assemble, distribute and maintain department files and records accordingly.

Maintain department office supply inventory and order supplies as needed.

Support and assist with various programs such as associate recognition programs, culture activities, new hire orientation, wellness initiatives, etc. as required.

May assist with other warehouse operations and transportation clerical / administrative tasks as assigned, and may assist with shipping / receiving, inventory control, and warehouse functions as necessary.

Here's what you’ll do :

Responsible for dispatching driver schedules / routes for load pick-up and deliveries and working with customers and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely and efficient operations, while providing a high level of customer service.

Ensure timely follow-up, resolution and response to any route planning or delivery timing issues that may arise; work with Transportation Supervisors as appropriate.

Maintain and update the department dispatch / communication log / software according to department procedures.

Ensure information is accurate and up-to-date to ensure drivers understand all requirements for the scheduled delivery / pick-up (i.

e., equipment / truck / trailer used, delivery location, pick-up / delivery time and documentation procedures, etc.) at all times during the dispatch shift.

Review, verify and process driver delivery paperwork.

Ensure adherence to company safety and sanitation policies and procedures, as well as all DOT rules and regulations.

Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and drivers.

May assist with coordinating delivery changes, monitoring on-board computers, log reports and maintenance schedules, and submitting necessary information to payroll clerk.

Associate'sdegree (Preferred) in Business Administration or college coursework in Business Administration or Supply Chain or other related area.

Two years of logistics / transportation experience. Must have basic knowledge of dispatch operations.

Good written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills; ability to interact with associates at all levels and external customers.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.

Good problem-solving and follow-up skills.
