POSITION SUMMARY :

The Social Worker performs all functions with respect for the patient’s specific age and needs. The Social Worker performs a complete psychosocial assessment of the patient and makes recommendations to the health care team.

Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY :
Performs daily cleaning tasks for patient and resident rooms, nursing station, lounges, educational facilities, restrooms, office, clinic areas and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services and in accordance with facility standards and objectives.

Assistant Interventional Radiology Physician
Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant (RPA) works in collaboration with the Interventional Radiologists to provide Comprehensive Care for patients.
The Physician Assistant is responsible for the following tasks : pre-assessment, intervention, and evaluation; completing history and physical exams, ordering diagnostic studies, interpreting test results, performing radiological procedures under imaging guidance, providing oral and written communication with referring physicians and other clinical staff, developing and implementing patient treatment plans all under the guidelines set forth in the policies and procedures and Bylaws of South Texas Health System (STHS).
As a clinical leader for the Interventional Radiology program, the PA is involved in process improvement projects and is an educational resource for patients, families, and staff.
Potentially, the PA will play a vital role in the community outreach programs for disseminating information for new and advanced radiological technologies that are available for service.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
1. The job requires at least 12 months of clinical experience and expertise within the radiology department.
2. The Radiology Physician Assistant should be a role model nursing professional through conduct, communication, leadership, ethical decision making and problem-solving skills.
The PA will maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS training.
3. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE :
The Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant should have the following :
1. Must have and maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Certifications must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
2. Must achieve master’s as a physician assistant in radiology.
3. A current license from the Texas Medical Board to practice as a Physician Assistant.
4. Preferably with National accreditation certification in the area of specialty.
5. No physical and / or mental impairment which prevents him or her from exercising the granted privileges
6. An agreement with a physician(s) currently appointed to the medical staff of the hospital to supervise the PA’s practice in the hospital

Security Guard
Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Security Guard watches and patrols hospital, building or office grounds and property to defend against damage, theft, of harm caused by others.
Duties are performed unarmed. Walks or drives around premises to insure building or post security. Maintains a lookout at exits to guard against theft.
Inspects identification of persons prior to entering restricted areas. The security guard observes activity at a particular post or posts and reports any unusual activities to the supervisor of other responsible person.
Performs routine monitoring and reporting duties and follows specific guidelines for observing and reporting such incidents.
Reports malfunctions of equipment that may impact the security and well being of the facility to supervisor and / or facility management.
Required to interact with public and other facility staff with courtesy and professionalism.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Must be 18 years of age
2. Be capable of working efficiently and effectively at any time of the day or night, including irregular and unscheduled hours, after sufficient rest.
