AT SONDER YOU WILL :
- Respond to day-to-day guest requests, issues, and other outreach using the Sonder Service Principles
- Guide guests through the Sonder experience, ensuring they have an amazing first impression
- Troubleshoot minor maintenance and technology issues (e.g., upholstery stain removal, light bulb replacements, access to units, wifi connectivity or overseeing contractor appointments)
- Perform housekeeping quality audits and inventory checks in our units to ensure that hospitality standards are met consistently and robust feedback to our vendors is relayed in a timely fashion
- Assist with inventory duties such as preparing turnover kits, receiving deliveries, and tracking linen / consumables use
- Maintenance and organization of working spaces including office, storage closets, warehouse and others, as assigned
- Travel to multiple Sonder properties throughout the local market, as required

Our Senior Front Desk Hospitality Agents are the face of Sonder and who live our leadership principle of 'Extend Hospitality to All'.
This is one of the most versatile roles at the company and perfect for anyone who loves interacting with guests and finds fulfillment in creatively solving problems.
You are a detail-oriented individual who thrives on interacting with others, supporting your fellow team members, and satisfying guest requests throughout the day.
This role will focus heavily on supporting our Front Desk Hospitality Agents while simultaneously working at the front desk.

AT SONDER YOU WILL :
- Coordinate Front Desk Hospitality Agents’ work by prioritizing and delegating tasks to completion and act as a point of escalation when a Supervisor or Manager is unavailable
- Assist with training and mentorship of Front Desk Hospitality Agents
- Work alongside other Front Desk Hospitality Agents and our remote guest experience team, taking ownership of issues and ensuring they are completed to the highest degree without supervision
- Utilize our digital communication systems to receive guest calls, SMS and live chats, and offer immediate support from the Front Desk
- Be the face of Sonder, and make an awesome first impression on our guests, visitors, and all internal and external partners.
- Guide guests through the technology-rich Sonder experience, ensuring they are able to make the most out of their stay and use our tech features
- Assist building leadership with any administrative tasks required to keep all operations running smoothly
- Flex to support the back-of-house / Hospitality Agent team on a day-to-day basis as needs arise through housekeeping quality audits, inventory checks, and minor maintenance and technology issues
- Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of both guest-facing and back of house working spaces including lobbies, office, storage closets, warehouse and others, as assigned
- Support multiple Sonder properties throughout the local market, as required
- NOTE : This role requires the employee to be willing and able to regularly work an overnight shift for which a rate premium is paid.
Shift start and end times may vary.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR :
- Significant experience using guest / customer communication tools such as Salesforce
- Personable, guest-centric, and positive; you love speaking with others in person and via phone, email, and chat
- Excellent problem solving skills, with the desire to get it done for our guests
- Strong computer literacy and writing skills and comfort switching between multiple desktop and mobile applications

We are looking for honest, reliable, and hard-working housekeepers to keep Sonder running smoothly! In addition to general housekeeping duties, we rely on our housekeepers to be our eyes and ears in each guest unit, anticipating and reporting potential guest issues, and ensuring that each guest’s experience is of the highest quality!
We are looking for Housekeeping Leads to own our housekeeping process, coordinate a team of housekeepers, and keep everything running smoothly day-to-day! In addition to general housekeeping duties, we rely on our Leads to make sure schedules are set, cleans are completed on time and at a high quality, and make sure their team is always working to improve the guest experience!
AT SONDER YOU WILL :
- Manage weekly and daily cleaning schedules for a team of housekeepers
- Support and lead cleaner onboarding and ongoing training and improvement
- Organize and prepare supplies for daily distribution, leading inventory control and organization
- Triage and delegate guest requests in real-time to cleaner schedules
- Perform standard housekeeping duties when necessary, including cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and bedrooms, changing linen and terry, polishing surfaces, removing trash / recycling, restocking soaps, shampoos, various kitchen and apartment items, and branded Sonder collateral, and ensuring all furniture, appliances, and amenities are clean and in working order
- Conduct special projects as assigned
- Initiate and manage reporting of any maintenance issues, safety hazards or damage of Sonder property
- Manage various digital programs including online HK scheduler, cleaner mobile app, and internal reporting & communication platforms.
Support cleaner training and compliance on these programs
Daily travel around market and central warehouse to complete tasks and manage cleaning program
WHAT WE LOOK FOR :
- A professional with a positive attitude, who has the ability to work effectively both in a leadership position as well as independently
- Previous experience in a leadership role with a housekeeping department or similar operation especially in regard to personnel management.
Experience with managing various schedules, budgets, and applications
- Tech-savvy with ability to use various digital applications, including mobile, digitally correspond with management
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials
- Working knowledge of operating household cleaning equipment and best practices
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend
- Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (usually about 40 lbs)
- This role requires regular access to a reliable smartphone and a reliable vehicle to use for work, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record with proof of insurance.

Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for Housekeeping Supervisors to manage a team of housekeepers, ensuring Sonder runs smoothly, day in and day out! In addition to general housekeeping duties, we rely on our supervisors to make sure schedules are set, cleans are completed on time and at a high quality, and make sure their team is always working to improve the guest experience!
AT SONDER YOU WILL :
- Coordinate the work of Housekeepers and Housekeeping Support Agent, including daily logistics, scheduling, deep cleaning of units, according to productivity and forecasted occupancy providing feedback and quality control
- Inspect all common areas of buildings including lobbies, public restrooms, fitness centers, office spaces, back of the house areas, loading docks, guests hallways and elevators for cleaning according to Sonder standards
- Interviewing, training and scheduling, disciplining and evaluating the staff
- Train new housekeepers and provide ongoing training for current staff on Sonder systems, technology, buildings, and cleaning standards.
- Monitors each housekeeper's daily progress and inspects completed units to assure that all Sonder standards have been met;
When standards have been missed, brings employee back to the unit and coaches them on how to correct the deficiency
- Monitor payroll reports, work schedules, lost & found program, stocking of housekeepers carts and designated storage areas.
- Conduct regular daily walk through inspections of all assigned areas; make note of discrepancies assign abatements and follow-up for completion
- Maintain required pars of linen, amenities and consumables for inventory management and in preparation for daily distribution and monthly order
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, security issues or damage of Sonder property
- Use mobile smartphone / applications / technology to communicate with the team and report progress
- Coordinate with 3rd party vendors regarding daily cleanings
- Conduct special projects as assigned
- Perform housekeeping duties which includes but is not limited to : cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, change linen and terry, window washing, surface polishing, balconies, trash / recycle removal, carpet vacuuming, floor mopping, dusting, when applicable
WHAT WE LOOK FOR :
- A professional with a positive attitude, who has the ability to work effectively both in a leadership position as well as independently
- Previous experience in a leadership role with a housekeeping department or similar operation especially in regard to personnel management
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail and speed accuracy.
- Technical working knowledge of digital productivity tools including data analytics creation via a spreadsheet
- The ability to learn to use a mobile application to digitally correspond with management
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials
- Working knowledge of operating household cleaning equipment
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend
- Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (usually about 40 lbs)
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day
- This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
- This role requires a reliable vehicle to use for work, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record with proof of insurance.

- Travel to multiple Sonder properties throughout the local market, as required

- Demonstrated experience working in hotels, restaurants, or other customer-facing hospitality, service, and / or customer experience roles
- Organized, hardworking, and detail-oriented
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities
- Thrives in a fast paced, ever-changing, always challenging startup environment
- Ability to work effectively both in a team environment as well as independently
- Comfort in independent problem solving with the humility to ask for help when needed
- Unintimidated by using mobile apps while in the field for team collaboration and communication
- Flexible schedule and willing to working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift / carry items up to 50 pounds and stand / walk for extended periods of time
- Proficiency in languages other than English a plus
- This role requires regular access to a reliable smartphone for work purposes. (Expense reimbursement available)
- This role requires reliable transportation and willingness to travel between properties on a daily basis when working.
Reliable transportation includes biking, walking, public transportation, scooter and / or other forms of transit that provide reasonable work associated transit times between locations)
