How will you contribute to the team?

Acts as an extension of client (airport) staff, always acting in the best interest of the client while executing assigned duties.

Takes direction from client managers and amicably reconciles conflicts

Regularly conducts project meetings and interfaces with contractor superintendents and design managers depending on the type of task order.

Is responsible for the financial health of projects, quality control, and all aspects of a projects.

Understands project controls and how to use them effectively to manage a project.

Understands the contract requirements and holds the design consultant or contractor accountable

Is able to interface and articulate issues with multiple client departments with little to no oversight.

Performs airfield or landside project design oversight, reviews drawings and design concepts developed by engineers, subconsultants, CAD designers or technicians.

Performs airfield or landside project construction oversight in accordance with airport and project specifications, reviews schedules, budgets, phasing / detour plans, RFI review and response, stakeholder communications.

Issues and / or approves the resolution of Non-conformance reports, and Corrective Action Reports

Prepares and processes change orders, change directives, and contract amendments.

Monitors, and reviews the production of engineering drawings and specifications.

Monitors and reviews the production of engineering investigations or planning work by other consultants.

Reviews and evaluates developed plans and criteria for new projects, ensuring the plans meet the specifications and are a constructable, viable, and cost-effective solution.

Analyzes technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, including new approaches and alternative solutions.

Will be field deployed spending the majority of time at the clients office or monitoring construction activities

Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time as deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or B.S. or M.S. in Project Management

CCM, PMP, or PE certification strongly recommended

A minimum of 8 years of relevant aviation related project management and / or civil engineering experience is required.

Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite is required. Working knowledge of Primavera P6 is a plus

Proven writing and communication skills.

Mechanical Engineer III

The Mechanical Engineer reports to our Chief Mechanical Engineer and is responsible for engineering design services in the energy and industrial processing sectors.

You will be an integral part of a team of multi-discipline engineers and designers working on upgrades to existing facilities and new projects.

The engineer may also support proposals and smaller projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Proactive in obtaining needed information and support to complete work on time.

  • Experience managing interior renovation, retail, and / or concession projects within the aviation environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing ground up projects within the aviation environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience delivering programs within Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) sites highly desirable.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of Project Management and the building design and construction processes.
  • Must be capable of passing security screening to obtain an access badge from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Any employment offer will be contingent on successful completion of the badging process.

  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Accreditation Centre (GAC) and / or, LEED Accreditation (LEED AP) certified by the US Green Building Council highly desirable.
