HR Manager

Provide on-site Human Resources leadership and support for the Columbus, GA facility which includes, hourly, nonexempt, exempt, and temporary workforce.
Manage Human Resource activities which include recruitment, employee relations, training, and equal employment opportunity / affirmative action administration, compensation recommendations, benefits, workers compensation and unemployment compensation.
Responsibilities
- Implement progressive HR practices and programs to maintain a non-union workforce.
- Manage assigned HR activities ensuring support of Snap-on’s culture, vision and growth initiatives. Issue, address, and / or make recommendations regarding any issues that are counter to Snap-on’s culture and vision.
- Proactively drive positive employee relations, including assisting in identifying and implementing employee engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with management to identify personnel needs and develop detailed and compliant job descriptions. Oversee rate range development, incentive programs and performance appraisal and performance management systems
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of the recruiting process including the onboarding process for all new hires
- Assess potential candidates for fit within the organization (skills, education, competency and cultural alignment)
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, employee engagement and retention
- Provide and support management in areas of promotion, demotion, transfers, layoffs, terminations, resignations, and employee relations
- Provide employee relations support for employees and managers, including coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws such as FLSA, Equal Employment, ADA, FMLA, as well as compliance to internal policies and procedures
- Work with Corporate Safety Manager to manage all aspects of the safety program, including training, written programs, documentation and OSHA compliance.
- Coordinate worker’s compensation and unemployment compensation programs to ensure adequate cost controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or related
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources environment, preferably a distribution environment.
- Knowledge of HR Laws (Federal and State)
- Demonstrate ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues is required
- Results oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Coaching and negotiation skills.
- Experience with MS Windows, MS Office / Outlook and HRIS systems.
- Applicable HR certification preferred (i.e. : PHR, SPRH, SHRM)

Territory Sales Manager
Overview
Drive sales of defined product categories within the Williams Industrial portfolio to distribution customers within a defined geography.
Manage assigned distribution relationships and drive end-user conversions with the distribution partners in that territory.
Partner with other Snap-on businesses to expand brand penetration in the market while minimizing potential channel conflict.
Provide superior customer service and support in order to maximize sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales of defined product categories within the Williams Industrial portfolio to distribution customers inside assigned territory
- Manage regional distribution relationships and agreements
- Identify end-user conversion targets by distributor and drive conversion activity
- Train distributors and end-users on targeted products within Williams Industrial portfolio
- Perform safety seminars, product presentations, In-Plant tool seminars and tool audits
- Prepare reports of business plans and transactions and manage expense accounts
- Maximize sales through established terms and conditions in order to achieve sales targets
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to align product offering with sales opportunities
- Create and deliver presentations as necessary to support existing business or secure new business
- Perform work in compliance with all safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years outside sales experience, preferably in the Industrial power tools segment
- Successful sales record with demonstrated goal achievement
- Impeccable personal presentation; ability to present effectively both internally and externally to all levels in an organization
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Tenacity to drive results and achieve established goals
- Flexible, conscientious, decisive, persistent, patient, excellent interpersonal skills, high energy, self-motivated
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products and other sales management tools such as CRM and Tableau
- Must hold all necessary credentials and meet requirements of assigned customer accounts
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an impeccable driving record

Industrial Sales Manager
Overview
Snap-on Inc., a global premiere tool and equipment manufacturer has an opportunity in our Industrial Business Group for an Outside Sales Manager to represent our company and our products serving a regional market.
This position will provide coaching and training to our sales force and may develop and lead large projects to drive sales growth and achieve established sales targets.
This position is remote-based and will require extensive travel.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales within the District to achieve sales targets
- Provide salesmanship training to Account Managers
- Provide new hire Account Manager training
- Support Account Managers on project management opportunities
- Facilitate product and promotional training to account managers and cascade materials for use with customers
- Implement and manage sales, marketing and operational strategies to improve Snap-on’s market share
- Develop contacts and relationships with key accounts
- Schedule and conduct regular contacts with Account Managers providing coaching and leadership
- Ensure corporate compliance initiatives are achieved
- Complete required reporting, expense reports, and customer call documentation as required or as directed by the manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree preferred and / or a minimum of 5+ years outside industrial tool market sales experience within manufacturing or assembly is required
- Prior 3-5+ years’ experience leading and managing a remote outside sales force is needed
- Proven track record of prior goal achievement showing increase in sales and customer growth
- Strong two-way communication, leadership and teambuilding skills are required
- Project management, solid organization and prior success managing & completing large projects on time are required
- Must be comfortable working with and presenting to all levels within an organization. Familiarity with Snap-on products and solutions are a plus
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience working with various data bases and using different sales systems, a plus
- Must hold and maintain all required credentials including a valid driver license and have an impeccable driving record as well as the ability to acquire adequate auto insurance is required
