The Mantenance Planner is responsible for ordering all parts and services for the maintenance organization to ensure a smooth and orderly operation.
Responsible for entering all work orders and requisition’s for maintenance and operations departments. Oversight of Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure machine hours are entered and keep schedule of PM’s needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Ordering all parts / services for Maintenance Depart and Operations to ensure a smooth and orderly operation and in compliance with company policy.
- Entering Requisitions and managing requisitions for timely delivery.
- Manage approval process of Purchase Orders and sending to purchasing, ensuring purchases are made via required vendors noting exceptions when they occur, serve as main contact for order status.
- Ensure PO’s are issued for all parts and services and the proper quotes are received before awarding PO’s.
- Maintain oversight of Preventive Maintenance Program entering all machine hours on a weekly basis. Entering work orders in the Maintenance Program for timely completions and tracking.
- Manage scheduling of PM’s as they become due with In-house mechanics and service companies.
- Administers Preventive Maintenance program from computer system, Follows Preventive Maintenance Work Order procedures
Job Qualifications
Excellent computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to operate independently and manage planning activities
Ability to multi-task; highly organized and process oriented
3+ years warehouse experience
Ability to work in maintenance / production environment

Purpose of Role
To advise, coach, mentor and upskill site supervision and leadership to instill a culture of environmental stewarship that facilitates compliance with internal and external environmental regulatory and leadership, at the local, state, province and federal levels, ensuring conformance to company environmental standards.
Facilitate and apply preferred environmental practices to protect Sims Limited’s ability to operate and enhance our environmental position in the communities which we operate.
Principal Accountabilities :
- Drive implementation and application of environmental strategic initiatives. Implement, monitor and adjust company wide environmental key performance indicators and provide site level management guidance and direction to meet improvement milestones to reach environmental strategic goals and objectives
- Oversee the implementation of site level environmental operating procedures.
- Systematically monitor management of environmental permits and compliance activities within the region (e.g. air quality, water quality, etc.
to ensure that all anticipated environmental related activities are in compliance.
- Remain current on all training requirements (applicable Air Permits, RCRA, SPCC, SWPPP, etc.).
- Provide guiance for the creation of new or revised environmental permits.
- Provide guidance and support to regional EHS team, to track, manage and report compliance activities and results to environmental company expectations.
- Support external / internal environmental audits of facilities and interface with key external audit entities on compliance activities;
Supports Sims Internal Audit department to support environmental components for annual audit requirements.
- Systematically manage the data collection, operation, maintenance, and compliance of environmental systems.
- Support remediation projects and activities to ensure remediation efforts are managed with best practices to achieve optimum outcomes.
- Direct the development or revision of required compliance plans (Air, SPCC, SWPPP, etc.)
- Monitor the generation and completion of environmental reports as required.
- Oversee contractor management and vendors to conformance with environmental company standards, expectations and local regulatory compliance.
- Development of systematic methods of management for environmental records, information and reports required for regulatory compliance or per Company policy are maintained and completed as needed and on a timely basis and that all records and information are properly safeguarded
- Support regional EHS with the investigation of significant environmental non-conformances or incidents, and the identiifcaton and communication of corrective actions.
- Support the upskilling, coaching / mentoring of operations management on environmental requirements. Develop training to direct Sims employees to follow environmental procedures and standard requirements.
- Oversee testing and monitoring of environmental emissions.
- Engage with stakeholders within the community to address proactive environmental initatives and / or concerns raised with buisness activities.
- Affiliate with environmental associations to keep informed of environmental technologies and innovations for potential company application.
Liase with governmental stakeholders to drive environmental activities within local regulations.
- Demonstrate personal responsibility for all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability (SHECS) policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Support diversity and inclusion, positive employee relations, and teamwork
- Support measures designed to effectively manage costs and adherence to budgetary requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality requirements
- Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and initiatives relevant to job
- Support training and performance-management initiatives
Required Experience :
Studying or has a degree in earth sciences (or below) or related field experience; ecology; energy; environmental engineering;
environmental health; environmental sciences or management; engineering - with a sustainability focus.
- Min. of 1-3 years’ experience in environmental management, having site, regional and global experience for environmental compliance requirements, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience implementing workplace environmental regulations and standards and working with authorities involved in workplace EHS oversight
- May include technical and / or professional certifications
- Experience in metal or electronics recycling, or related industry, preferred
- Environmental 14001 ISO standard management experience preferred
- Advanced computer database and Microsoft Office software skills
- Strong understanding of regulations affecting manufacturing companies
- Strong customer focused communications skills

JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Prepares receipts for load picked up.
- Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Positions blocks and ties cables or chains around items to secure cargo during transit.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- Class A driver’s license in good standing
- No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
- No DWI / DUI in last 10 years
- 2+ years’ commercial driving experience required
- Forklift Certified
- Flatbed Experience
- Roll off experience required
- High school diploma / GED required
