Delivery Driver
Overview
The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transport of Sharp Business Systems products to local customer base.
This customer service focused position is often the first impression of the Sharp Business Systems team to meet internal and external customer needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the secure and accurate loading of products for transportation to customer locations in a courteous, professional, and polite manner
- Installation and basic key-op training of equipment at customer location
- Frequent customer service interaction for basic equipment questions
- Assists with warehouse and setup shop duties as needed
- Responsible for keeping accurate and complete delivery documentation and paperwork validation including serial numbers, equipment IDS and meter counts for proper distribution
- Basic troubleshooting of potential issues in the field that would need to be relayed to the Service team for follow up
- Responsible for keeping company vehicles cleaned and well-maintained
- Assist as needed and follow a daily delivery schedule and timely communication and updates from the field
- Frequent in field internal communication with Service and Operations team to ensure time commitments are met
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean record
- Ability to use delivery equipment including dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks and lift gates in a safe manner
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment a plus
- Ability to drive at minimum, a 15’ foot box truck
- Familiarity with all local roadways and the immediate regional area
