This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.

We have an opening for a full-time Medical Assistant / Patient Services Rep to join our new San Diego, CA office. The schedule is Monday - Friday from 7 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm with occasional weekends and holidays.

The pay range for this position is between $19-$27 / hr.

How You'll Contribute :

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our job. In general, the Medical Assistant / Patient Services Rep is responsible for :

  • High volume of phlebotomy
  • Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
  • Assists with the clinical care of fertility patients
  • Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
  • Provides patient / couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
  • Provides pre and post op education
  • Perform semen washes and sets up for IUIs
  • Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
  • Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
  • Works independently to assure the program goals are achieved
  • Support and promote excellence in customer service
  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Collect payments

What You'll Bring :

The skills and education we need are :

  • Strong phlebotomy skills
  • Cross trained at medical front desk
  • High School diploma; Associates degree preferred
  • Completion of a formal MA program
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required
  • Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Financial Counselor to support our Manhattan, NY office. The schedule is Monday through Friday 7a-4p.

Pay Range is

$21.00 -$25.00

How You'll Contribute :

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our job. In general, the Financial Counselor is responsible for :

  • Consult with patients regarding their benefits, coverage and financial options
  • Perform aspects of benefit verification and prior authorization
  • Provide ongoing financial education and assistance to our patients throughout the continuum of their care, as an educator, advocate, and liaison
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal financial and insurance information

Skills & Requirements

What You'll Bring :

The skills and education we need are :

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of medical business office experience, with working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections, insurance / benefits, and patient interaction
  • Must have experience reading and understanding payer remittance advice. Includes the ability to differentiate between allowed charges, contractual adjustments, line item denials / reasons, patient responsibility (co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles), etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience working in an OB / GYN office is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers, patients, and insurance companies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, independent worker, detailed-oriented, computer savvy
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs, specifically Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • High level of customer service essential
