Security Investigator

What you get to do :

  • Patrol revenue facilities (shops, food, and admission) to observe employee behavior
  • Investigate employee theft, ticket and credit card fraud, counterfeit currency, and any other criminal or investigatory activity assigned.

Provide timely and complete follow-up as required

  • Patrol merchandise locations to observe for shoplifting in order to make successful prosecutable detainment
  • Train and guide those employees assigned to the SIU (Special Investigations Unit)
  • Provide asset protection training to revenue department employees
  • Perform lock maintenance, to include core construction and replacement, lock repair, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Assume responsibility for general office maintenance (cleaning, restocking of workbench and supplies) and general assignments by security leadership
  • Administrative duties to include report processing, investigative research and documentation, depositions, and court appearances

What it takes to succeed :

  • One years of Busch Gardens or theme park experience preferred
  • Have a current State of Florida Class D License (Security Officer) and / or an active LE certification
  • Can obtain a State of Florida Class C License (Private Investigator)
  • Previous loss prevention or Law Enforcement experience is required
  • Have a valid Florida Drivers License, proof of insurance and the ability to meet the SEA driving guidelines
  • Have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule, with late and rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of State Statutes, local ordinances, arrest, and detention laws, as they relate to adults and juveniles
  • Have intermediate electronic equipment skills and advanced computer skills

  • Performing installation of all electrical wiring according to code and advise others on the same.

  • Operating various types of machinery including forklift, man-lift etc.
  • Working with tools of trade including VOM, conduit bender, meggar, etc.

  • Working on and with pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
  • Working on and with variable speed AC and DC drives.
  • Performing maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of commercial electrical appliances used in food preparation.

What it takes to succeed :

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Journeyman electrical license or equivalent preferred.
  • At least four (4) years electrical experience in an industrial or residential environment required.
  • Climb a ladder and work of heights up to 200 feet.
  • Stand, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
  • Lift, push and pull in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments (dark / nighttime conditions, in / around water, in varying weather conditions).
  • Available to work varying shifts or hours based on project needs (i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, as well as weekends and holidays or extended shifts due to show / event install, operation, or strike).
  • Valid state driver’s license.

CA General Electrician or C10 Contractor's License required. If you do not yet have one, you must be able to obtain license with 90 days of employment.

What you get to do :

This role is responsible for general maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment used in the park. You will perform installation of all wiring to code, as directed by the supervisor;

troubleshoot systems ranging from 24 to 600 volts AC; adhere to all established safety and environmental regulations and interface with other shops, areas, and customers throughout the park. This position also :

  • Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of general lighting and power circuits, as well as repair of many miscellaneous electrical devices used throughout the park
  • Installs additional lighting and receptacle circuitry in existing structures, as well as in new additions to the park
  • Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of commercial electrical appliances used in food preparation
  • Uses computer to open and close work orders
  • Adheres to established safety and environmental regulations
  • Uses multi-meters and other testing devices as required
  • Assists leadership team members as assigned
  • Completes tasks as assigned within required time constraints as directed by the leadership team
  • Other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed :

  • Currently have or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment : general electrician license in the state of California or a C10 Contractor’s license
  • Minimum four years experience in electrical maintenance and with new electrical construction, primarily in commercial applications
  • Participation in a vocational or electrical apprentice program required
  • Have and maintain a valid state driver's license; visiting students and military must have valid driver's license from state of residency and able to provide a copy of the DMV report.

Must be able to meet requirements to drive SeaWorld vehicles

  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any state or local electrical code
  • Strong background in commercial wiring
  • Understand the workings of motor starters, lighting systems, ballast, HPS, metal halide, neon
  • Thorough knowledge of motor control centers
  • Proficient in reading single line diagrams and schematic
  • Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written / verbal communication skills
  • Able to organize and plan daily workloads as assigned without direct supervision
  • Able to read, write and speak in English; comprehend simple to complex instructions, short correspondence and memos

What it takes to succeed :

  • Previous culinary arts education
  • 1-2 years of bakery production or deli experience
  • Experience in a high-volume bakery environment
  • Energetic, willing to learn and work as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of cake decorating
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, and lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of basic COVID-19 food and beverage safety requirements
  • Strong communication, customer service, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours / shifts

  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb / ascend heights, if needed
  • Perform the following physical activities : kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist / waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools / keyboard / writing)
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold / heat temperature extremes

  • A valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a company driver’s license

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and / or carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Provide emergency medical and first aide care to guests and ambassadors following national and state standards.
  • Assesses injuries or illness, administers appropriate treatment and complete paperwork for ambassadors and guests.
  • Administer ongoing care to ambassadors with workers compensation injuries.
  • Consult with physicians to make appointments and arrange care for ambassadors.
  • Perform daily checks on safety and rescue equipment.
  • Report safety hazards in the park to necessary personnel.
  • Participate in department training and drills.
  • Respond to medical emergencies throughout the park.
  • Enthusiastically represent the company by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
  • Able to respond to patient needs and make sound decisions.
  • Able to represent the company and communicate to doctors and insurance representatives.

What it takes to succeed :

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR health care provider card (HCP).
  • Submit to annual respiratory physical.
  • Possess and maintain a current Texas EMT-B or higher Texas certification.
  • Strong comprehensive and communication skills.
  • Able to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and / or in writing as well as use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving.
  • Able to stand, walk, and work for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
  • Able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service.
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
  • Willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • Able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
  • Able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment with or without accommodation.
  • Able to work indoors and in outside weather conditions (i.e. sunny, wet, and / or humid conditions)
  • Able to positively interact with park guests and co-workers of all ages different ethnic / cultural background and / or languages and individuals with special needs.

Compensation : $16.00 per hour
