What you get to do :

You'll prepare high quality food that meets SeaWorld standards by following menu specifications. You will follow all safety and HACCP guidelines, use proper protective gear, and test food temperatures. You will also :

  • Oversee final prepared food quality
  • Utilize advanced and non-automated kitchen equipment, including open flame char grill, smokers, steam kettles, woks and large bakery machinery
  • Keep all assigned areas clean and sanitary
  • Incorporate knowledge of top eight allergens into the preparation of dietary meals
  • Interact with Ambassadors and guests and deliver excellent service
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed :

  • Ability to work with all food types, including food allergens, in any dining facility
  • At least one year of cooking experience or a combination of cooking experience and culinary school
  • Basic knife skills
  • Ability to pass SafeStaff training and RCS Responsible Vendor Training (alcohol)
  • Ability to train on and use protective gear and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced, high-production environment
  • Ability to prepare special dietary meals
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
  • Valid state driver's license preferred
  • In-depth food safety and allergen knowledge a plus
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What else is important :

  • Able to lift, push, pull and / or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb / ascend heights, if needed
  • Perform the following physical activities : kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist / waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools / keyboard / writing)
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold / heat temperature extremes Perform cleaning duties;

including use of cleaning chemicals

  • Work a flexible schedule / hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities

Compensation : 16.50 USD Hourly

What you get to do :

  • Coordinate production of menu items for special events.
  • Adjust food quantity to accommodate park guest attendance.
  • Enthusiastically represent the company by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
  • Assist in leading the team in daily operations, as well as special events, whenever head chef or other management as assigned are not present
  • Read menu to estimate food requirements and orders food from supplier or procures food from storage.
  • Oversee delivery and coordination of food delivery to event sites.
  • Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and steam kettles.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe to prepare quantity of foods for special events.
  • Bake, roast, broil and steam meats, fish, vegetables and other foods.
  • Add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.
  • Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling; determine if item is cooked within standards.
  • Portion food on serving plates, add gravies, sauces and garnishes to fulfill orders.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations and needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed :

  • Must have at least 1 year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have strong written / verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong basic math skills.
  • Must be able to lift / move up to 55 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time in hot and / or cold environments.
  • Must regularly use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, handle, feel, stoop, crawl or kneel.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work indoors and in outside weather conditions (i.e., sunny, wet and / or humid conditions).
  • Must be able to positively interact with park guests and co workers of all ages, different ethnic / cultural backgrounds and / or language, and individuals with special needs.
  • Must be able to successfully pass relevant food handler exams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Culinary certificate preferred.
  • Resume Required.
  • Availability to include up to 29 hours per week, 3-4 days a week to include weekends, holidays, early mornings, late evenings, and night shifts.

Compensation : 18.00 USD Hourly

What you get to do :

As a Shallow Water Guard or Lifeguard, you'll be that extra set of eyes and ears that enable guests to relax and have fun.

In addition to monitoring swimming areas and helping guests in distress, you'll greet and interact with guests, answer questions and resolve guest issues. You will :

  • Maintain patron surveillance on water attractions of varying depth (maximum assigned depth based on level of certification), including waterslide dispatch.
  • Prevent and respond to guest and ambassador emergencies.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of proficiency of park knowledge, water rescue, CPR / AED, and First Aid Skills.
  • Attend scheduled in-service training and participate in regular audits to maintain or increase skill level.
  • Maintain cleanliness and quality of SeaWorld Sesame Place waterpark and support areas.
  • Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
  • Work as part of a team to increase productivity.
  • Provide excellent service to guests and ambassadors.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

What it takes to succeed :

  • At least 16 years of age
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand and walk in extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be successfully pass pre-requisite Swim Test for one of 2 classifications of lifeguard.
  • Must be able to obtain an American Red Cross CPR / AED for *Professional Rescuer certification as well as one of the following lifeguarding certifications : Shallow Water Guard (0-5ft), Lifeguard (0-6ft+)
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest services.
  • Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
  • Above all, you have to be able to keep your cool, sense problem situations and make quick decisions under stressful conditions.

Compensation :

  • $15.50 per hour for Shallow Water Gaurd and Attraction Guard

What you get to do :

Being a Lifeguard is a lot more than sitting on a platform and putting zinc oxide on your nose. You'll roll up your sleeves (if you have sleeves) and play a key role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable guest experience.

In addition to monitoring animal interactions and helping guests in distress, you'll greet and interact with guests, answer questions, and resolve guest issues. You will :

  • Interact with guests while implementing park safety guidelines
  • Maintain the safety of animals and people in and around the pools
  • Greet guests and assist with interaction program check-in and wetsuit fittings
  • Maintain the cleanliness of your area
  • Participate in American Red Cross and SeaWorld audit processes
  • Attend in-service meetings and cross-train to work in other park areas
  • Practice safe work habits, including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

What it takes to succeed :

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a SEA driver's license.
  • You will need to successfully complete the Deep Guard swim test, including 300 yd. continuous swim, underwater object retrieval, etc.
  • You must successfully pass the company provided and paid American Red Cross certification trainings to include CPR and AED
  • You must pass regular swim tests and in-service / safety audits
  • You must be comfortable with heights and diving into water
  • You must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
