  • Receive cargo and load container and flat racks safely.
  • Assist Suppliers / Truckers in properly receiving, inspecting, and storing their cargo.
  • Receive and review all paperwork for incoming cargo, ensure it matches shippers' labels.
  • Make initial Dock Receipt (Dirty) Entry to include measurements, cargo conditions and note any discrepancy with documents handed over by trucker.

Bundles, pallets, pieces, exact count and description of cargo in notes.

  • Take and Record Measurements and Weights on D / R
  • Inspect all cargo at time of receipt, make sure prior to touching it on the truck you look at it for apparent damage.

Take pictures of cargo received.

  • Properly Label all items / Pallets received and count of boxes if pallet is able to be broken down / and follow company protocol for storing the cargo to include scanning location and weight consideration for level used on racks.
  • For Appliances, ensure they are strapped prior to storing
  • Sign Truckers B / L's and have Truckers countersign our D / R, ensure both documents have same information pertaining to count of goods and description as handed over to us.

If there is a discrepancy in description of cargo vs how it is handed over to us, or discrepancy in weight or cargo damage, call your manager for him to manage the discrepancy and paperwork.

  • Conduct trans-loads as needed.
  • Make sure all HAZMAT Cargo is properly handled and stored in the designated area.

When loading please follow procedures for loading the HAZMAT at the end of the container.

Loading of export shipping containers follows company protocols, include picking cargo, scanning the cargo to container and take pictures.

Ensure all cargo is loaded safely.

  • Collaborate with all other areas when their assigned area is low on work.
  • Able to work at all areas of receiving and loading, Yard, LCL Shack, Receiving Dock, loading.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be trained in all forklift and heavy equipment 35k forklift units.
  • Forklift Operator must wear proper PPE at all times-steel toe shoes and vest.

Hard hats should be worn in hard hat zones.

Responsible to keep all their work areas clean and free of debris every day prior to leaving.

There cannot be any pieces of pallets, plastics, spilled materials on the floors.

The following delimitation exist for cleaning the warehouse and Yard areas, specific for the area that the employee worked their shift : + Yard personnel are responsible for the areas north of the LCL Shack, the fence on the East side north of the shack, north fence, and the area where the cargo is stored, and containers are stored.

Includes discarding the trash in the trash bins. + Receiving personnel are responsible for the entire warehouse, the pit in front of receiving and the west fence.

Loading personnel are responsible for the cleaning of the loading ramp, and from the ramp to LCL Shack.

Inspecting the warehouse and ensuring no materials were spilled and not cleaned, pieces of pallets and debris left on the floor.

The warehouse should be left clean and free of debris. + All personnel will be scheduled to run the cleaning machine based on a schedule.
