Our Diet Clerks provide administrative and clerical support for Food and Nutrition Services. Responsibilities include processing diet orders, assisting patients with menu selections, and distinguishing between food and medication allergies, maintaining current diet orders and menus to ensure compliance to the physician diet order.

Diet Clerks must be able to function effectively in a high-volume call center environment. Serving as the liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition Services departments handling patient complaints, food issues and basic questions about meals / diets.

This is a part-time position, weekends and varied shift availability required. Located at our Scripps Dietary Call Center in 4S Ranch.

Position Pay Range : $19.10-$27.50 / hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.

Scripps Memorial La Jolla has been one of Southern California’s premier medical centers for more than 90 years.

Our Cook team coordinates, preps a volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, catering / special events. Performs job functions to support the following Food Service operational systems;

safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management and infection control / sanitation.

Follows established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food and safety regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time position located in La Jolla, varied shifts and one weekend day shift per week required.

Required Qualifications :

  • 6 months of experience in quantity food preparation or graduation from an approved culinary program
  • Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate or able to pass Food Handlers Test given by verified manager or designee

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in quantity food preparation in healthcare
  • ServSafe Certificate
  • Formal culinary / quantity cooking education

The Physical Therapist Assistant will :

  • Assist in the provision of therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist who shall be responsible for the extent, kind and quality of the services provided by the therapist assistant through a continuum of care.

This is a benefitted Part Time (40 hours per 2-week pay period), 8-hour Day shift, position located at Scripps Mercy San Diego.

Required Qualifications :

  • Current physical therapist assistant license in State of California.
  • Current annual BLS certificate.
  • Must have variety of problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communications skills with internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications :

Recent experience as a PTA in an inpatient setting.
