We are hiring a Sr Financial Analyst for our manufacturing facilities in the Houston, TX area (Deer Park & Pasadena).

Responsibilities :
- This position under limited supervision is responsible for conducting and documenting complex financial analysis projects
- Reports analyzes forecasts and interprets financial operating data. This may include profit / loss analysis cost analysis market niche reporting regional performance assessments customer proposals rate of return depreciation and any other ad-hoc analysis of interest to management
- Participates in the preparation and compilation of the annual financial plan which may include functional area specific modeling time-series analysis and graphic presentation of both operating and financial data
- Prepares complex financial analysis reports in a timely and accurate manner; and completes individual analytical projects in satisfactory manner given abstract project guidelines
- Interprets and applies policies and procedures to new situations
- Advises on and recommends to management desirable operational adjustments and interprets budget to actual variance
- May perform ROI analysis investments
- Develops operating metrics
- Reviews performance to plan and conduct prior year's variance analysis
- Reviews business unit financial statements and policies to ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines
- Assists other Finance and organizational areas with financial matters as required and may serve as a mentor and evaluator of more junior team members

Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Years of Related Experience : Typically, has 5-7 years related experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Advanced PC skills including Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite;
- advanced understanding of financial analysis and accounting policies procedures programs and processes;
- solid communication and interpersonal skills;
- proficient use of automated general ledger systems and reporting tools (SAP, SQL, Cognos, ReportNet, and BEx);
- advanced skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis;
- thorough understanding of general accounting principles and accepted standards;
- Demonstrated ability to provide assistance with mentoring and / or evaluation of more junior team members.
