JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for long- and short-term planning and day-to-day operations of the kitchen and related culinary departments.

Manage associates and managers in the kitchen in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees while providing a safe environment;

hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication vehicles and discipline and terminate as appropriate.

Plan and manage the procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food in the hotel in a safe, sanitary, cost effective manner.

Monitor and control the maintenance / sanitation of kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a healthy, safe work environment, which meets / exceeds federal, state, corporate, and franchise standards and regulations.

Develop, recommend, implement and manage the department's budget; continually analyze, forecast, monitor and control the labor and food costs through various methods to meet / exceed management / budget objectives.

Develop and implement menus and back-up (use records, production lists, pars, training, etc.) within corporate guidelines to continually improve revenues and profit margins while maintaining quality.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Champion of The Starling Hotel brand and strategy, bringing it to life through all marketing efforts
  • Assist with driving traffic to the hotel, on-site dining and spa through concepting and executing dynamic marketing plans inclusive of advertising, email campaigns, local events, programming and sponsorships
  • Develop relationships with local like-minded businesses to create meaningful partnerships. Interact and build relationships with the community to generate brand awareness and engagement
  • Work directly with PR agency to drive awareness of the hotel, spa and food and beverage outlets
  • Own and update property marketing calendars to be shared with leadership
  • Concept and execute programming events for the property and food & beverage outlet
  • Manage organic and paid social strategy with established agencies. Provide content regularly and oversee content photo and video shoots
  • Assist with interacting with community on social platforms to drive followers and engagement
  • Assist with property marketing and promotions by being involved in design and creation process for promotional materials such as offers, e-blasts, advertising and collateral
  • Assist with managing property marketing budgets
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 1-3+ years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations or related field
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently demonstrate a high level of organizational skill
  • Demonstrated experience with project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience within upscale, lifestyle or luxury hospitality companies preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

  • Strong analytical skills relative to impact on hotel revenues
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of revenue management principles
  • Ability to use revenue management systems to develop pricing and sales recommendations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, focus on Excel, Word and Outlook Ability to travel as needed
  • Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • First point of contact for all guests arriving on property and aids get clients settled onsite.
  • Ensures turnovers files are distributed, and introductions are sent to guest within established goals

  • Receives and responds to requests for information and inquiries by responding directly to the customer or routing calls to the appropriate team member

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Seats and takes accurate food orders from guestsMonitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented and / or the buffet is appealing.

  • Ensure that rooms and public areas are cleaned and sanitized to company-mandated standards
  • Ensures that rooms have clean linen, bedding and towels
  • Understands and follows all safety and security procedures as mandated by the hotel
