Position Purpose :

Work is performed in industrial settings including : assembly plants, metal fabrication plants, refineries, and power train plants.

Collect, sort and transport disposables and recyclables including : trash, hazardous waste, scrap metal and other waste streams throughout a facility to designated container and location.

Primary Duties / responsibilities :

  • Perform job duties in a safe manner compliant with policies, procedures and practices.
  • Maintain a safe, neat and clean work environment this includes : work area, equipment, locker rooms, break rooms, and office areas.
  • Model professional behavior at all times; report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to work.
  • Collect trash, recyclables and hazardous waste from various locations throughout the facility.
  • Breakdown scrap parts for repair or recycling
  • Transport waste / recyclables to disposal container and / or storage location.
  • Load semi-trailers and roll-off boxes for shipment to landfill or recycling center.
  • Maintain storage areas, and drum pads in accordance to regulations.
  • Document and inform the manager or designated person of any contamination in recycling containers.
  • Complete reports and documentation correctly and submit timely as directed.
  • Participate in meetings to access the work environment for safety and effectiveness.
  • Operate equipment safely and compliant with policies including : fork-trucks, tuggers, and transport carts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and safety checks on mobile equipment before and after operating; report any defects appropriately and timely.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning and development; stay current of safe work practices, policies and regulations.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and provide support and assistance to others.
  • Commitment to promoting and creating a safety culture and positive work environment.
  • Perform other job duties as requested to support the business operations.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background :

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience operating a forklift or similar equipment desired

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

  • Able to read and understand instructions in English
  • Push / pull and frequently lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate small hand tools, pick up and sort small parts.
  • Lift, carry, push or pull equipment of various size, shape, and weight.
  • Able to sit periodically and for extended periods of time, climb ladders / stairs, reach below knees and above shoulders, kneel and crawl to access work areas.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping, able to reach forward and grasp equipment
  • Ability to balance and walk on wet and slick surfaces, metal grates, narrow platforms, and uneven surfaces.
  • Work in loud, cold, hot, wet and dry environments.

Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading / unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling / profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.

  • Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
  • Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading, and coordinating transportation.
  • Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing / potential problems.
  • Comply and enforce all compliance, health, safety, and procedures in accordance with VES-TS policies.
  • Become familiar with all U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) / Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and VES-TS regulations required in submitting paper work to expedite disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Information Security Analyst position within the IS&T group is accountable for protecting system applications data and IT assets from a variety of threats that cause a data breach, data destruction or prolonged downtime.

Provide technical expertise of information security applications, software and hardware which deliver defense in depth protection of information technology resources and confidential data across various systems.

Engage in projects, requirements analysis, security solutions research, and implementation of security technologies. Security incident response including, detection, containment, recovery, forensics and reporting to limit data disruptions.

The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for the documentation, support and maintenance of Cyber security tools, policies, and audits.

This position will work closely with the IS&T Infrastructure and Cloud teams ensuring that they follow and fulfill Cyber security best practices and remediate vulnerabilities in their respective roles.

  • Interprets scanning or testing results and provides consultation to Infrastructure, Cloud, IS&T L1 Service Desk and other teams regarding system and application weaknesses
  • Appropriately escalates issues presenting unacceptable risk to our locations
  • Monitors risk mitigation progress
  • Ensures that equipment and its connectivity complies with the Veolia Group security policies and procedures.
  • Assists in materializing security architecture into projects
  • Develops, maintains and applies tools, processes and procedures to evaluate suitability of security configuration and feature offerings of proposed systems
  • Collect and assemble data for input into the risk analysis process
  • Recommends corrective action for vulnerabilities that present unacceptable risk to the organization based upon the Veolia Group security policies and procedures
  • Monitors progress for corrective action and assists Infrastructure, Cloud, IS&T L1 Service Desk and other teams in making progress
  • Track security systems; recognize anomalies of various systems, and escalates appropriately
  • Implement and support the Cyber Security policies, standards and recommendations of the Veolia Group.
  • Work with the VWT Corp IS&T Cybersecurity team as the main point of contact for any topic related to cybersecurity.
  • Makes recommendations for recovery and prevention process improvements
  • Analyzes and correlates network data flow logs, web logs, computer and application user activity logs, and security incident logs for information relevant to a real or potential information security or privacy breach or to support decision making and risk mitigation
  • Contribute expertise in discovery and information gathering sessions
  • Participate with PMO team to identify alternative analysis evaluating pros and cons, technical feasibility, risk and other information to support a decision to select the best solution
  • Complete assigned project tasks on time
  • Communicate issues for timely resolution
  • Work with other PMO team members to remove barriers to progress

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Technology, Engineering or equivalent

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE

  • 4 + years of related work experience
  • Must be proficient in Google, Cybersecurity, Security Standards, Cloud software (AWS), Networking, Middleware (Data Lake / Hub)

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES / BEHAVIORS

  • Proven work experience as a security lead
  • Expertise in medium to large enterprise systems infrastructure
  • Familiarity with various modern operating systems and platforms (Microsoft Windows, GNU / Linux, Chrome OS, IOS, Android, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of core Windows Server roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and File Sharing
  • Hands-on experience with networking components and technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VOIP and VPN
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Good knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud Platforms
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to write audience appropriate reports, standards, process, and procedures
