Requirements :
- Must have at least six months prior work experience with reception duties
- Must have great organizational skills.
- Must be able to type between 60-70 words per minute, proficient in Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- Speaking Spanish as a second language is a plus.
- Capable of handling several calls / guests at one time.
- Will coordinate and perform all tasks required by the front desk.
- As the first impression of the Club, the receptionist must always remain friendly and professional in all dealings with the membership and their guests
- Remaining with all employees of the Club.
- Must always dress professionally.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Incoming calls
- Answer all incoming telephone calls and route the call to the appropriate department or person.
- Respond to member / visitor questions and / or take messages to relay to the appropriate persons.
Outgoing calls
- Place instructional or informational calls for managers as needed to coordinate special events and confirm reservations
- Greet all people entering the Clubhouse and determine the nature of the visit.
- Guide members / visitors to the appropriate room / person.
- Take all reservation for Club events.
- Type and make copies of daily Ala Carte Specials.
- Read the upcoming newsletter prior to distribution to be informed on club news and events.
- Become proficient in the reservation software for the club dining rooms.
- Be aware of all Catering correspondences so you can answer questions that may arise.
- Process and / or create any memos, letters, or forms requested by any manager.
- Responsible for special event and dining room reservations.
- Maintain professional communication with the parking lot security officer on the radio at the front desk.
- Keep work area neat.
- Perform any other duties as directed by your supervisor or manager of the Club.
- Flexible schedule and able to work nights and / or weekends
