Warehouse Managers play a key role in helping their retail partners deliver best-in-class customer service. They have direct P&L and operational responsibility for a warehouse and serve as inventory control SMEs, including breakage and shrink - for store managers and leaders.

To be successful, the Warehouse Manager must create an engaging culture, identify and develop a team of warehouse associates, and ensure they supply inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner to their retail partners.

They must implement Safelite's best practices and processes that cascade down from the region yet continually surface new ideas and approaches to Safelite leadership.

They must be flexible and adaptable as Safelite's business model continues to evolve.

What You’ll Do

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

Team Development and Retention

  • Hires, coaches, trains, and develops warehouse associates-providing both informal and formal job performance-based feedback.
  • Engages and inspires the warehouse associates.
  • Creates a positive and engaging work environment where people are motivated to perform their best.

OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversees warehouse, inventory, fleet and material handling for the warehouse.
  • Leads the warehouse breakage and shrink reductions and is a subject matter expert for stores and inventory control.

Customer Experience

Partner with peers and retail partners to ensure efficiencies are in place and they receive a best-in-class customer experience.

Business Strategy Implementation

  • Sets and communicates the strategy for the warehouse, along with the actions needed to implement it.
  • Inspires the workforce to commit to the strategy and translate the strategies into actions needed from each team member to achieve it.

P&L Management

Manages P&L of the warehouse and allocation of the budget. Responsible for operational expenses, breakage and shrink.

OTHER

Health, Compliance and Safety

  • Ensures national, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, CLD, DOT and MHE) are being followed in the warehouse.
  • Identify instances of risky behaviors within the warehouse and take appropriate actions, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
  • Keep the warehouse up to date on safe working methods.

What You’ll Need

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5-7 years leadership and supervision experience, preferred
  • Certifications :

o Forklift certification preferred

o Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to travel up to 5%
  • Physical requirements are inclusive, but not limited to, the following :

o Ability to work from the Warehouse location o Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and courteously, adhering to all Company policies and procedures relating to safety.

ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES

Professionally answers a variety of inbound calls from customers, policyholders, insurance agents, or autoglass shops using scripted prompts.

Accurately enters claim data into our production systems while on a live phone call.

Effectively and compassionately guides customers through the process of filing a glass claim by engaging in an authentic conversation that builds rapport and focuses on each customer's specific needs.

Verifies customer insurance coverage and deductible amounts and communicates the information to the customer.

Assists customers with scheduling repair, replacement, and / or recalibration services at a Safelite location or at a non-Safelite shop while honoring the customers preference.

Utilizes systems and resources provided to enhance the overall customer experience.

Provides solutions to resolve customer complaints and concerns over the course of the call while presenting the most accurate product and service information.

Other duties assigned by leadership.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be comfortable working in a highly structured performance-based environment while demonstrating high ethical and confidentiality standards

Knowledge of computer and telephone systems and the ability to operate those systems with confidence in a remote environment

The ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers, stores and peers with a caring heart and service mindset

The ability to read and utilize provided scripting in a conversational and timely manner

Demonstrates a high level of empathy and integrity by always doing the right thing

Has an upbeat personality and can show an authentic willingness to assist our customers

Previous experience working in a contact center or other customer service role

16+ years of age

High School Diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled

The Repair Specialist , which we hire year-round and seasonally, performs vehicle glass repairs whenever a glass replacement is not required.

Our paid, formal training program teaches everything needed to complete these specialized repairs, regardless of any prior mechanical experience.

What You’ll Do

Manage work orders, customer documentation and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.

Clean customer vehicle during wait / idle time during the repair process as well as perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicle and shop.

Safely and professionally operate a company fleet vehicle to and from customer locations.

What You’ll Need

Valid state-issued driver’s license required.

The Warehouse Associate II keeps Safelite on the move by loading glass shipments and restocking pallets in our warehouses.

These dedicated team members make sure our glass gets where it needs to go by through effective warehouse operations and occasionally driving delivery trucks for glass transportation.

What You’ll Do

Safely operate the Forklift and Reach Truck.

Safely operate the Picker to stock and pick glass inventory in the warehouse.

Manage, log, and stock incoming automotive glass, accessories, and supply items.

May drive and deliver automotive glass, accessories, and other items from the warehouse to store locations using a DOT / Non-DOT vehicle.

Provide inventory maintenance / bin maintenance and cycle counting.

Receive store returns or Distribution Center replenishment shipments.

Outbound shipping functions for order fulfillment.

Collaborate to maintain and evolve internal shipping and receiving processes.

All other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

Age : Must be 18 years of age or older.

1-3 years’ experience warehouse or manufacturing, including experience operating Forklifts required.

Valid driver’s license required.

Ability to successfully pass a driving assessment and regularly follow safe driving practices when operating the vehicle.

Ability to operate (or learn to operate) Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Eventual completion of MHE certification (Order Picker, Reach Truck and Forklift) required.

Ability to meet all physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 35lbs repeatedly and 50lbs occasionally, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and meet weight safety standards to operate MHE.
