Rosen Hotels & Resorts’ Hospitality Leader Internship Program is designated for undergraduate students at UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality.

It delivers an in-depth understanding of hotel operations through practical experience. Internships in both hotel operations and guest contact center operations are available.

The program is managed by the Human Resources department and led by a project coordinator who will serve as the point of contact for all interns.

The 16-week program includes a one-week on-boarding experience comprised of orientation, property tours, a visit from President and COO Harris Rosen, and learning and development opportunities.

The other 15 weeks are focused on department rotations, one professional development session per week, and several opportunities to shadow specific departments of interest.

Interns will also take part in some of the engagement activities produced by Human Resources. During the final week, students will present to a panel of Rosen Hotels leaders on their overall experience and acquired skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a student enrolled at the Rosen College pursuing an undergraduate degree in hospitality or related field
  • Minimum commitment of 24 hours per week; Interns may have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours if desired and if their schedule matches operational needs
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include some weekends and holidays
  • Desire and ability to work with others collaboratively
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and eagerness to learn

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements include, but are not limited to,

  • Contributes to building a team that is creative, optimistic, and develops fresh ideas.
  • Demonstrates innovation and creativity through all work.
  • Stays up-to-date on social media trends, to better develop creative and innovative content strategies. Platforms include, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
